種大高直 《割書：古四斗｜昨年もの五六升安》
木綿糸大高直ニ而老人小供にてもいとを引
候へはわた代を引候而も百五十文位ニ相成
候よしニ而奉公人ニ出候もの無之候高はた
を織候ものハ壱反ニ而此節六七百文位ツゝ
利ニ相成候よしニ而裏店小ものニ至る迄皆
高はたを織候様子ニ候へ共高はたも大高直
ニ而壱反四十四五匁いたし鉄古かねも此節
引上候よし壱〆目にて五百文位いたし候よ

麦米 両に七斗
種大（おおむぎ）高値《昨年もの古四斗、五六升安》
木綿糸大変高値にて、老人小供でも糸を引き候えば、綿代を引き候ても百五十文位に相成り候よしにて、奉公人に出候もの無之候。高機を織候ものは一反にてこの節六七百文位ずつ利に相成り候よしにて、裏店小者に至るまで皆高機を織り候様子に候えども、高機も大変高値にて一反四十四五匁いたし、鉄古金もこの節引き上げ候よし、一貫目にて五百文位いたし候よし。
当時糸綿百文につき十一二匁位のよし。

Cotton thread is extremely expensive - even elderly people and children who spin thread can make about 150 mon profit even after deducting cotton costs, so no one is going out for employment. Those who weave on high looms can make a profit of about 600-700 mon per tan at this time, so it appears that everyone from back-alley small traders to others are all weaving on high looms. However, high looms are also very expensive at 44-45 monme per tan, and scrap iron prices have also risen recently to about 500 mon per kanme.
Currently, cotton thread costs about 11-12 monme per 100 mon.
