一 扇事
鞠場にいつる時より左の手に持也懸に
出ても初心の人なと心にまかせて扇を
つかふ事有へからすつかハて難治の極暑
なとにハ左の手に持なから二三間ハかりひろ
けて身に引そへてつかふへし座にをきて
立時も左の方の畳円座の下にをく也
但猶座下の方可然也両様共以くるしからす

凡扇を座にをきて立事ハちかき世よ
り出来也むかしハかならすこしにさして
立侍る也口伝故実あり又懐中して
ける事もあり
一 三拍子事
三拍子といふハまつ右の足をふみて次
に左足を鞠にむかへてふミて次右足に
鞠をあくる也此様ハ凡庭にたちては
大またにて常に右足をうかへて鞠に

同じことである。
一 扇のこと
鞠場に入る時から左手に持つのである。懸（鞠をする場所）に出ても、初心者などが心のままに扇を使ってはならない。使うとしても、治療困難なほどの極暑などには、左手に持ったまま二三間ほど広げて身に引き添えて使うべきである。座に置いて立つ時も、左の方の畳や円座の下に置くのである。ただし、なお座の下の方がよろしい。両方ともに苦しくはない。

およそ扇を座に置いて立つことは、近世より始まったことである。昔は必ず腰に差して立ったものである。口伝や故実がある。また懐中していたこともある。
