…(the shrine records) were viewed together with Dainagon (Major Counselor) Hirōsuke of the Hino family.
3rd day: Shokuhisa and the estate manager (■hisa), two persons, were sent as messengers to Kano Geki's residence. They were asked regarding the paintings between the seven sections of the aforementioned shrine origin story (engi).
5th day: It appears that the Middle Counselor (Chūnagon) of Kajūji visited the shrine. An offering of sacred streamers (heihaku) was made at the stone steps inside the Rōmon (tower gate). Two hundred hiki were donated to the shrine as the offering fee.
The intermediary for the offering was Suenori (季周). The offering was first placed in the Heiden (offering hall) and then brought out. Normally, the approach is made from the west side of the central gate; however, on this occasion, it was approached from the east side. When brought before the deity, the procession proceeded to the large floor area at the Chinese-style gate (kara-to) of the central gate. The ceremonial procedures were as usual.
6th day: Officials of the bakufu serving as inspectors (yokome), namely Shōsuke-dono (one person), visited the shrine and proceeded directly to Kifune. Shokuhisa and (■hisa) followed on horseback. After stopping at Kurama, they proceeded to the auxiliary shrine at Kibune (Kifune), where sake was offered to the visitors at the haiden (worship hall).
Today, twelve musicians performed music two or three times at the御札屋 (amulet hall/office). This was because someone had donated musical instruments for use during the shrine's sacred ceremonies, and instruments including taiko (drums), shō (mouth organ), hichiriki (double-reed pipe), kakko (barrel drum), and others had been assembled.
