(Recording the accounts of those who traveled to the capital.)
22nd Day: At the meeting, regarding the road matter related to the former residence of Suki Yojiro in Umetsuji-machi, a map was submitted, and today each person went out for an on-site inspection. The road leading east is to be allocated separately as a path for the retired household, measuring one ken and three shaku in width, with the remaining portion attached to the main house. However, at the location of the Setoguchi (gate area), it is said to measure approximately five shaku.
Item: Today, from Takakura, regarding the left and right costumes and sleeves for the horse races (Kurabeuma), ten sets of colored upper garments were exchanged. Additionally, two pieces with damaged/bent waist bands, and the collars of the large katabira (unlined robes) were notably soiled with sweat; as they had been washed, being made of rinzu (satin weave silk) they looked unsightly, and it was suggested they should be replaced — twenty sets for both left and right sides were brought out.
The right side's large katabira together with five folded/damaged waist bands from the right side were also brought out.
The officials (sata-nin) receiving these items — the deputy officials were Kuranojo, Iwami-no-kami, and Echigo-no-suke; and for the monthly magistrates (tsuki-bugyō), Shokyū and Sueyū were dispatched.
Item: Today, the votive tablets (ema) before the shrine were properly affixed outside the middle gate; those that had been nailed onto rough lumber by the carpenters were removed and taken outside. There were roughly forty to fifty tablets in total, of which seven were left un-nailed today, and the remaining ones were taken by various people as they pleased (as gifts/offerings).
Next, two old doors from the main hall (Shōden) were put out for sealed bidding (nyūsatsu).
