23rd Day, Clear. In the early hours of this morning, the wife of Komino no Kami passed away from illness. As she was a cousin on the paternal side of Uneme Sadatoshi, who serves as the Saijin-gashira (head of ritual abstinence), he is to observe seven days of light mourning (kyōfuku). As the position of Saijin-gashira falls vacant during this period, Ichinojō Takanao was appointed to take over the role, and he began attending the shrine from this morning. 24th Day. Kanenori performed the duties of the Saijin-gashira's soup service (shiru no yaku). 25th Day. Regarding the upcoming shrine relocation (o-sengū), the Benden of Seikanji has been serving as the supervising official (bugyō). From the bakufu, rice stipends (fuchimai) have been allocated as follows: five koku for the Main Shrine, five koku for the Kibune Shrine, and ten koku for the Kataoka Shrine — a total of twenty koku, in accordance with precedent, to be delivered at Ōtsu. [The entry regarding the Court Liaison (Tensō) is left incomplete.] 26th Day. An expense report was drawn up for the construction costs of the foundation-stabilization ritual (chidan) at the lecture hall (kōsho). Three persons — Gyōken, Ujizamurai, and Ujinojō — convened to deliberate on the matter. The findings are to be reported at a later date. 27th Day. A regular meeting was held to review the customary internal accounts (nairan kanjō). I did not attend, so I have no knowledge of what transpired.
