Last Day of the Month (Misoka): The customary gathering of elders and youth (rōjaku yoriai) was held. Twelfth Month, Large (Month of 30 days) 1st Day: The daily offerings (nikkū) were performed. 2nd Day, Snow falling: A kagura performance was held. Provisions were arranged and submitted by the former shrine priest and the Bingo residence (Bingo-tei). Ichirō, Samanosuke, and Yamanao passed away from illness. He was eighty-nine years of age at the time. Today, in connection with the shrine construction (go-zōei), there was an order to submit the accounts of the shrine community to the bakufu authorities. Accordingly, they were brought by the shrine priest as far as Nakai Mondo. That only the shrine priest carried them is a matter of some question — it is not to be taken as precedent, and there were particular circumstances behind it. As night fell, a meeting was held. This was because the following day, based on a statement by Hoka and Kaneyori, the relevant parties were to be summoned to the bakufu and to appear for one day. 3rd Day: The kagura provisions were arranged by the Kaga residence (Kaga-tei). (Or perhaps prepared there?) 4th Day: In connection with the statements of Oribe no Shō and Tonomo no Kami, the parties appeared before the bakufu. The designated representatives (yakusha) were Sakyō no Daibu and Tsushima no Kami, and a confrontation (taiketu) was held. However, regarding the conduct of both parties' representatives, the shrine priest expressed deep displeasure, and it was declared that the written judgment (gosaikyō) should be brought again at a later date. Thereupon, all parties returned home. 5th Day: Three copies of the written judgment (gosaikyō) for Tsushima (no Kami) and Sakyō (no Daibu) — the portion pertaining to this location — [were received/distributed].
