8th day: Wind blew. It is said that today's wind is an auspicious sign for an abundant harvest of the five grains.
9th day: A litigation day. It is reported that a lawsuit was submitted by Okuma-jo, the daughter of the Tonomonokami (official title). Additionally, a representative from the shrine community also appeared.
13th day: The soot-sweeping (year-end cleaning) was carried out.
14th day: A written notice arrived from the public authorities (the Bakufu). It stated that on the 16th day, regarding the claims of both the Tonomonokami and Orибe-no-shō, both parties were to appear accompanied by their representatives.
16th day: Clear weather. Today is a litigation day. The representatives of Hoka and Kaneyori appeared. At that time, the following ruling (御批判) was delivered: "The residence, household property, and other assets of the late Teishin shall be granted to the Tonomonokami and Kaneyori. Furthermore, of the amount covered by the vermilion-seal documents (御朱印) issued by the KunaiShō household, more than 8 koku and 7 to shall be납ered to the shrine. Additionally, the paddy fields of approximately 2 koku acquired by Teishin shall also be納ered to the shrine, as has been duly ordered."
Accordingly, regarding the Shinto priest Hoka, it was ruled as a loss (defeat) for both Oribe-no-shō and Hoka.
This evening, a meeting was held, and a messenger came from the side of Oribe-no-shō stating: "Regarding the widow's share of more than 3 koku and 7 to, since there is no objection, it shall not be납ered to the shrine." However, both representatives stated that "all of it should be submitted (to the shrine)."
In conclusion, it was publicly announced that more than 11 koku in total shall be납ered to the shrine as an immediate payment.
