（前頁より続き）宣旨については、天正・寛永の毎度、これが下されてきた。これを「風儀（ほのぎ）の宣旨」と云う。風聞の体を陣儀にて行われる際に、御伝奏より仰せられたことを、上卿の心得として官務より仰せ付けられ、書き付けてきた由なり。また、本宮御神宝のうち、上古には御器（ごき）銀の七つ入子（いれこ）があった由なり。森家の経久記にその旨が記されているとのことにて、「風記」と書くことが宜しい由なり。
九日、雨天。十日、雨天。十一日（記事なし）。
十二日、今朝、公儀（幕府）より御造営銭・銀十三貫匁余りが渡された。神主・保可正（ほかのまさ）、祢宜・順久（月奉行なり）、雑掌三人が二条へ請け取りに出向かれ、了（おわ）んぬ。

(Continued from the previous page) Regarding the imperial decree (宣旨): such decrees had been issued on each occasion during the Tenshō and Kan'ei eras. This is referred to as the "Honogi no Senge" (風儀の宣旨, a decree concerning ceremonial customs/protocols). When the state of rumored matters was deliberated upon in a council (陣儀), the Imperial Liaison (御伝奏) conveyed orders, and the Senior Court Noble (上卿) understood these as instructions formally issued by the官務 (Kanmu, the head of the Officiants' Office); this had been recorded in writing accordingly. Furthermore, among the sacred treasures (御神宝) of the Main Shrine (本宮), it is said that in ancient times there existed silver nested vessels (御器銀の七つ入子), a set of seven. This is recorded in the Keikyu-ki (経久記) of the Mori family, and it is said to be appropriate to write this as "Fūki" (風記, a record of traditions).

12th day: This morning, construction funds of over thirteen kan monme in silver and coin were delivered from the公儀 (Kōgi, the Shogunate). The head priest Hokano Masa, the祢宜 (Negi, senior priest) Yorihisa (serving as the monthly magistrate), and three administrative officers (雑掌) went to Nijō to collect them, and the matter was completed.
At the Hour of the Horse (around noon), a gathering was held in which various matters were reported and discussed. Among them, regarding the matter of the wind vent (風穴) of the Main Shrine: many people expressed the opinion that since it had not been opened since ancient times, it was unnecessary. The head priest stated that the matter had reached the ears of the Lord of Echizen (越前殿, i.e., Matsudaira Echizen no Kami), who had declared that opening the wind vent would be appropriate, and had even issued instructions regarding the method of constructing it. He further stated that it would now be impossible to refuse on the grounds that there was some sacred mystery about the Main Shrine. It was also stated that the four construction magistrates (造営奉行) had concurred in this view, and thus it was decided that there was no choice but to open it.
