- Rinban sōji-kōchū (the cleaning confraternity on rotating duty): likewise, three times each - Shrine priests and ujibito attending each ritual ceremony - Those with both parents living, from the 14th to the 16th of the 7th month - Shrine priests undertaking the September retreat In addition to the above, direct-service shrine priests and ujibito congregants [Day unclear], 9th month On what was perhaps the 3rd of the month, there was an inquiry from the Tensō (court liaison official) regarding the matter of Kibune Shrine. In response to the question of how many times nobles (kugyō) had made official visits in precedent, it was answered that during the Tenshō era it was Lord Nakayama, the Great Counselor (Dainagon), and during the Kan'ei era it was Lord Yanagiwara. Since Kibune Shrine had received the imperial declaration designating it among the great shrines of the Twenty-Two Shrines, it was submitted that a corresponding level of treatment be requested. The 7th Day: Late in the evening, an announcement was made at the assembly. It was reported that two individuals, Hachinojō and Kume, had caught small birds within the shrine grounds and left them there in custody (i.e., the birds were confiscated and placed in the shrine's keeping). As an act of apology, Korehisa and ■hisa went before the two magistrates (go-bugyō) today. In reply, they were told that the matter would also be reported to Lord Echizen (the senior magistrate), and that they should return home for the time being. - Regarding the current shrine reconstruction project, it was graciously decided that the expenses for those traveling to Edo for the purpose would be covered, and that the matter would subsequently be reported to the Bakufu (the shogunal government).
