良友に乏しいとはいえ、その卓越した賢才をもって間もなく
軍中雑務総督に任じられた。大なる功労があることによって
昇進はひとり著しく迅速であった○一千八
百三十五年「プロイセン」国政府より「スルタン」氏および
「メヘメット・アリー」の戦争について事情を探索させる
ため「トルコ」と小「アジア」《割書：「アジア」州の中》とに派遣
した。その地方に留まること四年である。そして東洋人《割書：「小ア
ジア」等を指す》はすべて「モルトケ」を軍事の師範とした
と言う。
