一 貴布祢山柴をおろし被成候代先年度々少々惣へ
代出し余に少分ニ候間我々馳走仕度々才覚仕
毎年十四石ツヽニ五年之間七拾石ニ相定末代無相違
様ニ定り申候処ニ此度伊予守馳走ニ而山手減シ候事沙
汰限候也
一 家康様御継目之 御朱印御取候へと数度申候へ共
■（相歟）延候て慶長十一二年之時分ニ指添衆毎年御出シ候得共
御継目之義御取沙汰無之自余之計取沙汰被成候間
慶長十六年二月十九日老若へ罷出候て近日
上様御上洛被成候ニ何とて板伊賀守殿へ不被仰候
哉と申候処ニ伊賀守殿へ伝テ無由被申候間少も伊賀守殿へ
伝無之候ハヽ我々可申かと申候得は左候ハヽ伊賀守殿へ
申候へと被仰候間則御内衆へ語申早速申入候へは御
入魂被成候間前々書物共持参懸御目候て我々調申候
理共一々申達候様子筆紙ニ難尽存候
現代語訳
一、賀茂社領・貴布祢山のことについて、二瀬村より掠め取ろうとの申し出があったため、糺明（取り調べ）を行いましたところ、賀茂（社）の正当な山であることに疑いなき上は、先年の公方（将軍家）のご下知のとおり、引き続き領知されるべきである。以上のとおりである。

一、貴布祢山から柴（薪）をおろしていただいた代金について、先年より度々少々ずつ惣（社中）へ代金を出してきましたが、あまりにも少額でしたので、我々が奔走して度々才覚（工面）し、毎年十四石ずつ、五年間で七十石と相定め、末代まで相違なきよう定まりましたところ、此度（このたび）、伊予守の口添えにより山手（山林使用料）を減じたということは、言語道断のことである。
一、家康様の御継目の御朱印をお取りになるようにと、数度申し上げましたが、引き延ばされ、慶長十一・二年（1606・1607年）の頃に、添え役の者が毎年（幕府へ）出向かれましたものの、御継目の儀についてはお取り計らいがなく、それ以外のことのみ取り計らいがなされましたので、慶長十六年（1611年）二月十九日に老若（長老・若衆）のもとへ出向いて、「近日、上様（将軍）がご上洛なされるのに、なぜ板（板倉）伊賀守殿へお申し出にならないのですか」と申しましたところ、「伊賀守殿へ取り次いでも無駄だ」とおっしゃいましたので、「少しも伊賀守殿への取り次ぎがないのであれば、我々が申し上げましょうか」と申しましたところ、「それならば伊賀守殿へ申せ」とおっしゃいましたので、すぐに（伊賀守の）御内衆（側近の者）へ話を申し上げ、早速申し入れましたところ、ご懇意にしていただき、以前からの書き物（文書）を持参してお目にかけ、我々が取り計らってきた道理を一々申し述べました。その様子は筆紙（文章）に尽くしがたいほどでございます。

Item: Regarding the matter of Kifune Mountain, a holding of the Kamo Shrine estate — as a claim was made by Futase Village to misappropriate it, an investigation was duly conducted. Since it is established beyond all doubt that this is rightfully Kamo's mountain, the shrine shall continue to hold dominion over it in accordance with the previous directive from the shogunal authority. This is as stated above.

Item: Regarding the payment for the timber (brushwood) brought down from Kifune Mountain — over the years, small amounts had been paid to the shrine community on various occasions, but these were far too modest. We therefore exerted ourselves on numerous occasions to arrange the matter, and it was settled that fourteen koku per year, totaling seventy koku over five years, would be established as a fixed sum in perpetuity, without alteration. Under these circumstances, the reduction of the mountain levy (yamate) through the intercession of Iyo-no-kami is utterly beyond the bounds of reason.
Item: We petitioned on numerous occasions that the confirmatory vermillion-seal document (継目御朱印,継目の御朱印) from Lord Ieyasu be obtained, but the matter was repeatedly deferred. Around Keichō 11 and 12 (1606–1607), accompanying officials made annual visits to the shogunal authority, yet no steps were taken regarding the confirmatory document, and only other matters were attended to. Therefore, on the nineteenth day of the second month of Keichō 16 (1611), we went before the elders and younger members of the shrine community and said: "Since the shogunal lord (上様) will shortly be making his progress to Kyoto, why do you not petition Lord Itakura Iga-no-kami?" We were told that there was no point in making representations through Iga-no-kami. We replied: "If there has been no approach whatsoever to Iga-no-kami, shall we make the petition ourselves?" We were told: "If that is the case, then go and petition Iga-no-kami." We therefore immediately spoke to his household attendants (御内衆), made prompt representations, and were received with great cordiality. We brought along the documents from previous dealings, presented them for review, and conveyed one by one the reasoning behind our arrangements. The details of this are more than can be expressed in words alone.
