神領能州賀茂庄之事国諸乱砌迄無解怠
罷納申候不相替先々可致取沙汰候可被成其心得

神領(しんりょう)たる能州(のうしゅう)賀茂庄(かものしょう)の事、国の諸乱(しょらん)の砌(みぎり)まで解怠(おこたり)なく罷り納め申し候。先々に相替わらず、取り沙汰(とりざた)致すべく候。その心得成さるべく候。恐々謹言(きょうきょうきんげん)。

賀茂御社領(かもごしゃりょう)たる讃岐国(さぬきのくに)万濃池(まんのういけ)の内につき競望(きょうもう)申し、御補任(ごぶにん)成し下され候、畏れながら存じ候。しからば御急用(ごきゅうよう)の事は、毎年四月中旬に六貫九百文(ろっかんきゅうひゃくもん)持ち参り、また十一月中に五貫八百文(ごかんはっぴゃくもん)分、京着(きょうちゃく)・定社納(じょうしゃのう)申すべく候。万一(まんいち)無沙汰(ぶさた)申し候はば、彼の代官職(だいかんしき)の儀、御改替(おんあらため)有るべく候。その時、一言(いちごん)の子細(しさい)申すべからず候。よって後日のため請文(うけぶみ)の状、件のごとし。

Document bearing a seal by Yoshimoto, dated the fourteenth day of the third month of Eishō 7 (1510):
Concerning the divine estate (shinryō) of Kamo-no-shō in Nōshū (Noto Province): [the rents/dues] have been duly delivered without negligence, even up to the time of the various disturbances in the province. [The dues] shall continue to be managed and collected without deviation from precedent. Please take due note of this. Respectfully submitted.
Fourteenth day of the third month, [Eishō] 7 — Yoshimoto [seal]

Document bearing a seal, dated the sixteenth day of the fourth month of Eishō 17 (1520):
Concerning [the post of managing] the Manno Pond (Manno-ike) within Kamo Shrine's estate in Sanuki Province — I had petitioned [for this position], and you have graciously issued a letter of appointment (bunin); I receive this with humble gratitude. Accordingly, regarding the urgent obligations [owed to the shrine]: every year, in the middle of the fourth month, [I] shall bring six kan and nine hundred mon, and further, within the eleventh month, [I] shall deliver five kan and eight hundred mon, arriving in the capital and making fixed payments to the shrine (jō-shanō). In the event that [I] should fail to make payment, the matter of said deputy's post (daikan-shiki) shall be subject to replacement [i.e., the position shall be revoked]. At that time, I shall have no grounds for complaint whatsoever. Accordingly, this acknowledgment document (ukebumi) is drawn up for future reference, and is as stated above.
