町代勘兵衛殿へ相渡し申し候間、

The above allowance money was received on the last day of the 12th month of Mi year at the meeting place through the intermediary of Lord Makabe Yoichi, and I have respectfully received it. Since you have graciously recorded the receipt in the account book, I have submitted it with Yoemon's seal alone. Upon returning, I spoke with the officials. On the 3rd day of the 1st month of Uma year, I called together the representatives of the eight towns and distributed it to them. Regarding the ceremonial silver, I have given it to Kanbei, the representative of Naka-machi, so I have instructed that you should receive it.
The above allocation is as follows:
