一札之事
一鉾持町夜番之儀は先年より当村ニ而も
御町内ゟ継来候致毎度村中一統順番ニ
相勤来候所此度村方相談之上藤屋郡治を以
御丁代中江及御談毎日被月頭ニ朔日之夜より
四日之夜迄一ヶ月ニ四夜記急度相勤申度候段
申入候所御承知之上右之通ニ申談相極候処
相違無御座候如斯双方申談相極候上は此上
末々ニ対村方ニ如何様之過役新儀出来候共急度
相勤於此一件毛頭違乱之間敷候為後日
一札差出申所仍如件

一札の件
一、鉾持町の夜番の件については、先年より当村においても町内から引き継いで、毎度村中一同が順番に勤めてまいりましたが、この度村方で相談の上、藤屋郡治を通じて町代の方々にご相談申し上げ、毎月月初の朔日の夜から四日の夜まで、一ヶ月に四夜、必ず勤めたい旨を申し入れましたところ、ご承知いただいた上で右の通りに申し合わせ決定いたしました。相違はございません。このように双方で申し合わせ決定した上は、今後将来にわたって村方にいかなる過重な役や新しい負担が生じても、必ず勤めます。この一件について少しも違反することはありません。後日の証拠として一札を差し出します。よって件の如し。

A Written Pledge
Item: Regarding the night watch duty for Hokoji-machi, our village has been continuing this duty in rotation with all villagers participating since previous years, having inherited it from the town district. This time, after consultation within our village, through Fujiya Gunji we consulted with the town representatives and requested to serve definitively four nights per month, from the first night to the fourth night of each month beginning from the new moon. With your approval, we have agreed and settled on the above arrangement, and there is no discrepancy. Now that both parties have discussed and settled this matter, even if any excessive duties or new obligations arise for our village in the future, we will definitely fulfill them. Regarding this matter, there shall be absolutely no violation or disorder. We submit this pledge as evidence for the future. Therefore, as stated.
