被成之由御勝手次第と存候最早拙者方よりハ申
達間敷候右之御挨拶旁以使者申達候以上
右之使者拙者留守之内罷越候付追而使者口上書
之趣致承知候由一通り之返答ニ而以使者申遣候右之
趣ニ而御座候得者終ニ対談之儀得其意候段挨拶
不仕内日限を究拙者を招キ民部大輔江致対面
候様ニ押極メ申越候儀も何と哉覧参り不届様
ニも被存候其上拙者一分之存知ニも候ハヽ早速
得
其意申事も可有御座候得共兼而ハ御存知被成候
通之儀ニ候得者類家之者共之内歟又ハ互ニ心
安ク申談衆中を以成共申聞拙者同心之上ニ而日限
相究候儀ニ候ハヽ得其意可申事ニ存候右之趣
迄ニ而対面之儀ハ外之存知も如何之様ニも存候
其上不遅事ニ候得者来年同姓中務大輔なとも
致参勤一往遂相談類家之者江も一通り申聞
其上ニ対面同心之段越後守方江可申越と存
捨置申儀ニも無之候由申越候処勝手次第最早
越後守方ゟハ申間敷之旨ニ候得共拙者不能了

なされるとのこと、ご都合次第と存じます。もはや私の方からは申し達すまいと存じます。右の御挨拶を兼ねて使者を申し達します。以上」
右の使者が私の留守の間に参ったため、後日使者の口上書の趣旨を承知した旨、一通りの返答として使者を申し遣わしました。右の趣旨でございましたら、ついに対談の件について承諾した旨の挨拶もせずに、期限を決めて私を招き、民部大輔に対面するよう押し切って申し越してくる件は、何やら見当違いで不届きなようにも思われます。その上、私一人の考えでもございましたら、早速承諾申すこともできるでしょうが、かねてよりご存知の通りの件でございますので、類家の者たちの内から、または互いに気軽に相談できる衆中を通じて申し聞かせ、私が同心した上で日限を決める件でございましたら、承諾申すことと存じます。右の趣旨までで、対面の件については他の考えもいかがなものかと存じます。その上急がない事でございますので、来年同姓の中務大輔なども参勤いたします際に、一度相談し、類家の者にも一通り申し聞かせ、その上で対面に同意する旨を越後守方へ申し越そうと存じます。放置するということではございません」と申し越したところ、「都合次第で、もはや越後守方からは申すまい」との趣旨でございますが、私としては納得できず

"...will be done according to your convenience. I shall no longer make any further communications from my side. I am sending this messenger to convey the aforementioned greetings. That is all."
Since the aforementioned messenger came during my absence, I later sent a messenger with a routine reply acknowledging that I had understood the contents of the messenger's oral message document. Given this situation, while not even offering greetings to indicate that I had finally agreed to the meeting, to decisively press forward by setting a deadline, summoning me, and arranging a face-to-face meeting with Minbu-dayū seems somehow misguided and inappropriate.
