今度被 仰付候金銀の品慶長御定のことくに
なし返され候事ハ去々年辰十月十一日
前御代被 仰出候 御旨によられ天下後代迄の
ために御沙汰候上は 公儀御費用の事等者
論するにたらす候雖然近世以来諸国山々より
出来候所の金銀むかしのことくに無之候を以て
元禄以来之金銀等ことことく皆相改り候迄者
多くの年月を経へきに候こゝを以て其切終
り候迄の間金銀通用の法を定められ候条々
一 今度被 仰付候新金銀并に慶長以来元禄
七年迄の古金古銀ハいふに及はす元禄宝永
の金銀皆々これを通用すへし但し元禄宝永
等の金銀の事 公儀之御定におゐてハ
慶長之法のことくに金壱両を以て銀六拾匁
に相当せられ候といへとも内々におゐてハ歩
金歩銀等をくはへ候て通用し来り候事ハ

今度仰せ付けられた金銀の品を慶長の定めのようになし返される件については、一昨年辰十月十一日に前の御代に仰せ出された御旨に従い、天下後代までのために御沙汰されたからには、公儀の御費用のことなどは論じるに足りません。しかしながら、近世以来諸国の山々から産出される金銀は昔のようではないので、元禄以来の金銀等をことごとく皆改める（新しい基準に戻す）までには多くの年月を経ることでしょう。ここをもって、その切り替えが終わるまでの間の金銀通用の法を定められた条々は以下の通りです。
一、今度仰せ付けられた新金銀ならびに慶長以来元禄七年までの古金古銀は言うに及ばず、元禄・宝永の金銀も皆々これを通用すべし。ただし元禄・宝永等の金銀については、公儀の御定めにおいては慶長の法のように金一両をもって銀六十匁に相当させられているといえども、内々においては歩金・歩銀等を加えて通用してきたことは（続く）

Regarding the matter of returning the quality of gold and silver to the standards of the Keichō era as has now been decreed: This follows the directive issued on the 11th day of the 10th month of the year of the Dragon two years ago during the previous reign, and since it was ordered for the sake of the realm and future generations, matters such as the government's expenses are not worth discussing. However, since the gold and silver produced from mines throughout the various provinces in recent times is not as it was in the past, it will take many years to completely reform all gold and silver from the Genroku era onward. Therefore, the articles defining the laws for gold and silver circulation until this transition is completed are as follows:
Article 1: The new gold and silver now decreed, as well as the old gold and old silver from the Keichō era through Genroku 7, not to mention all Genroku and Hōei gold and silver, shall be put into circulation.
