現代語訳

どれでも割合の定めに従って通用すべきである。
公儀の御用の代金・代銀として下賜される場合も、割合の定めに従ってどの金銀でも用いられるべきである。
世上において上下の通行の法は、皆この例に準ずべきことである。

一、大判のことは元禄年中に改められた分も、慶長の大判に比べてもその品質が大きく下がっているわけでもなく、折れ損じることもないので、宝永七年に只今通用の金を仰せ付けられた時も、この御沙汰には及ばれなかった。今度においても小判・一歩判等が改められた後に御沙汰があるべきである。その間は公儀より下賜される場合も献上の場合も、その他私に用いる場合も、皆只今まで用いてきた大判をもって通用すべきことである。

一、公儀へ献上の銀並びに下賜される銀のことは、これもまた只今通用の銀積もりを用い、その銀のことは只今まで用いてきた銀でも、または割合の定めに従って今度仰せ付けられた新銀を用いても、新古の選び無く通

1. Regarding large gold coins (ōban): Even those reminted during the Genroku years, when compared to Keichō-era large gold coins, have not significantly declined in quality, nor do they break or become damaged. Therefore, when the currently circulating gold was decreed in Hōei 7, this matter was not included in that directive. In the present case as well, there should be a directive after the koban and ichibuban coins are reformed. During the interim, whether granted by the government, offered as tribute, or used privately, all should continue to use the large gold coins that have been in use until now.

1. Regarding silver offered as tribute to the government and silver granted by the government: This should also use the current silver calculation system. Whether using silver that has been in use until now, or using the new silver decreed this time according to the established rates, there should be no distinction between new and old in circulation.
