御使者上月武左衛門《割書：景｜隆》を以御小袖《割書：御紋二｜白一》御中綿三把蚫一折
米百俵被進之 智高院【吉邦母知久】様江八丈縞二端保多絹弐疋
桑染絹弐疋綿二十把蚫一折被進之御附々江も被下物

但武左衛門旧臘廿九日御国表出立
一 正月七日為若菜御祝儀御使者を以例之通御肴《割書：鯛｜二》被献之
一 正月十一日年始三ヶ日之御規式相済候為御祝儀江戸表江
御書被指出之御肴一種被献之
一 正月廿日御番頭之面々御書付を以左之通被 仰出
面々番頭中何事によらす訳不相立品を其了簡
致さす願申上候儀ハ 上を不憚不届之事ニ候近年
其趣相聞候間此以後ハ品により被 仰付様も可
有之候且番頭能遂吟味候而取次可被申候願候
得者とて不承届儀を猥に相達候儀ハ番頭不
調法に可被 思召候可被存其旨候以上

一 二月六日 智高院様御儀兼而御引取御養被成度 思召
候得共御指障之訳も有之御延引之処旧冬中務大輔《割書：昌｜平》様
現代語訳
御使者上月武左衛門景隆を以て御小袖（御紋二、白一）、御中綿三把、鮑一折、米百俵を進上した。智高院【吉邦の母知久】様へは八丈縞二端、保多絹二疋、桑染絹二疋、綿二十把、鮑一折を進上した。御付きの者たちへも下賜物があった。
ただし武左衛門は昨年12月29日に御国表を出立した
一、正月7日、若菜の御祝儀として御使者を以て例の通り御肴（鯛二尾）を献上した
一、正月11日、年始三が日の御規式が済んだことへの御祝儀として江戸表へ御書を差し出し、御肴一種を献上した
一、正月20日、御番頭の面々へ御書付を以て左の通り仰せ出された
面々番頭中、何事によらず筋の通らない事柄を、その了見もなく願い申し上げることは、上を憚らない不届きなことである。近年そのような傾向が聞こえてくるので、この以後は事柄によっては仰せ付けられることもあるだろう。また番頭はよく吟味を遂げてから取り次ぐべきである。願い出る者だといって、承り届けない事柄を軽々しく取り次ぐことは、番頭として不調法と思し召されるであろうことを心得るべきである。以上

一、2月6日、智高院様のことについて、かねてから御引き取り御養育したいと思し召していたが、御差し障りの理由もあって御延引していたところ、昨冬中務大輔昌平様
英語訳
Through messenger Kōzuki Buzaemon Kagetaka, a ceremonial kosode (two with family crests, one white), three bundles of cotton batting, one fold of abalone, and one hundred bags of rice were presented. To Chikōin-sama [Chiku, mother of Yoshikuni], two tan of Hachijō striped silk, two bolts of Hota silk, two bolts of mulberry-dyed silk, twenty bundles of cotton, and one fold of abalone were presented. There were also gifts bestowed upon her attendants.
Note: Buzaemon departed from the domain on the 29th day of the 12th month of the previous year
1. On the 7th day of the 1st month, for the young herbs celebration, seasonal delicacies (two sea bream) were presented through a messenger as customary

All guard captains, regarding any matter, making petitions without proper reasoning for unreasonable requests is disrespectful behavior that shows no deference to superiors. As such tendencies have been observed in recent years, depending on the matter, punishments may be imposed hereafter. Furthermore, guard captains should carefully examine matters before relaying them. Simply because someone makes a petition does not mean that unreasonable matters should be carelessly forwarded, as this would be considered incompetent behavior by a guard captain. Keep this in mind.
