差出し申一札之事
此度博奕之儀ニ付御吟味町中江被 仰付
御書付之趣一々承知仕候則五人組限明細
吟味仕候所疑敷者壱人も無御座候此上五人組
申合無油断心附相互則道厳可仕候若
不情仕不存罷有候歟又は隠置外ゟ及御聞候ハヽ
当人并宿之儀は不及申組合之者共何分之
曲事ニも可被仰付其節各々方江少も
御苦労掛ケ申間敷候右ニ付各々御 上江も
証文被差上候ニ付私共一札差出し申所為後日

差し出し申し上げる一札の件
この度博打の件について御吟味が町中に仰せ付けられ、
御書付の趣旨を一つ一つ承知いたしました。そこで五人組限りで詳細に
吟味いたしましたところ、疑わしい者は一人もございません。この上は五人組で
申し合わせ、油断なく心を付け、相互に厳しく取り締まりをいたします。もし
不届きを働き、知らずにいることがあるか、または隠しておいて外から御聞きに及ぶようなことがあれば、
当人並びに宿の件は申すまでもなく、組合の者ども、どのような
罪科に仰せ付けられても、その節は皆様方に少しも
御苦労をおかけ申しません。右につき皆様が御上にも
証文を差し上げられたので、私どもも一札を差し出し申し上げます。後日のため
よって件の如し 袋町

Document of Submission
Regarding the matter of gambling, an investigation has been ordered throughout the town, and we have understood every detail of the written directive. Accordingly, we have conducted a thorough investigation within our five-person group, and there is not a single suspicious person. From now on, our five-person group will coordinate together, remain vigilant without negligence, and strictly monitor each other. If there should be any misconduct that we are unaware of, or if anything we have concealed comes to the attention of the authorities from outside sources, then not only the perpetrator and their lodging, but all members of our group shall accept whatever punishment may be imposed. At that time, we will cause no trouble whatsoever to you honorable officials. In this regard, since you have all submitted sworn statements to the higher authorities, we also submit this written pledge for future reference.
