今度の地震によって横死した人民が多いことは、天災とは申しながらも、（幕府が）不憫にお思いになられたことにつき、十一月二日より以下の寺院において施餓鬼法要を執り行うよう仰せつけられた。

As the earthquake this time has caused the deaths of many people, and though it is a natural disaster, (the shogunate), moved by compassion for them, has ordered that memorial *segaki* services be conducted from the second day of the eleventh month at the following temples:
