旧蝋廿 二日下馬御門之内立込者有之節
御目付共へ可相達儀ニ候処無其儀不念之事ニ候御呵候而ハ無之候得共
此以後ヶ様之儀有之節ハ御目付共へ相達可申旨
右酒井丹下宅へ十郎兵衛相招御目付堀十兵衛大谷儀左衛門を以申渡之
右之節不調法候ニ候間念入相勤可申旨御呵候旨 御番改 来栖半之丞
右番頭菅沼与市郎於宅筆頭差加可申渡旨且又御呵候付遠慮相伺候ハヽ遠慮可申旨申渡之
一享保七寅八月廿二日松原郷左衛門先頃下馬御門之内へ馬上ニ而可罷通与仕候其段不案内故之儀荻野
孫右衛門迄秋田八郎兵衛物語仕候孫右衛門申聞候ニ付御城之事ニ候得ハ不軽事ニ候間自分病気ニ仕引込罷在可
然旨申聞引込有之候処今日左之通被仰付
其方儀病身ニ有之候付御役儀御免被成寄合被仰付候以上 松原郷左衛門

其方儀当廿二日当番翌廿三日未た御番不相渡候内
新居八兵衛父子御目見被仰付候付下馬御門罷通其節
何方ニ而も指図無之処相通候儀御法も有之事ニ候得ハ不念之至ニ候依之御呵被成候
右ニ付六郎右衛門伺之上遠慮十月五日御免
一永平寺登城ニ候得ハ御門所加人出ル筈瓦御門加へ出ル太鼓御門ハ御先物頭出勤出番所加人出ル

現代語訳
御先物頭
本多十郎兵衛
旧暦二十二日、下馬御門の内で立ち往生した者がいた際は、
御目付たちへ報告すべき事柄であったが、そのようなことをせず不注意な事であった。お叱りではないが、
今後このような事があった際は御目付たちへ報告すべきである。
上記について酒井丹下宅へ十郎兵衛を呼び寄せ、御目付堀十兵衛・大谷儀左衛門を通じて申し渡した。
上記の件で不手際があったので、注意深く勤めるべきとのお叱りがあった。 御番改 来栖半之丞
上記について番頭菅沼与市郎の宅で筆頭を加えて申し渡すべきであり、またお叱りにより謹慎を伺い出れば謹慎すべきと申し渡した。
一、享保七年寅八月二十二日、松原郷左衛門が先頃下馬御門の内へ馬に乗ったまま通ろうとした。その件について不案内であったため、荻野孫右衛門まで秋田八郎兵衛が話をした。孫右衛門が申し聞かせたところ、御城のことであるから軽いことではないので、自分が病気ということにして引きこもっているのがよいと申し聞かせ、引きこもっていたが、今日左の通り仰せ付けられた。
あなたは病身であるため御役を免じ、寄合に仰せ付ける。以上 松原郷左衛門
あなたについて思し召しがあるため御役を免じ、大御番に入れる。以上
御先物頭 海福瀬左衛門
ただし御先物頭月番今村段右衛門を通じて申し渡した。
上記の郷左衛門・瀬左衛門両人とも謹慎する必要はなく、御帰城の際も通常通り出仕するよう仰せ出された。
一、元文元年辰九月二十六日、稻葉采女方の宅で左の通り仰せ渡された。なお詳細は御門断の条に出ている。
御先物頭 酒井六郎右衛門へ
あなたが当月二十二日当番で、翌二十三日まだ御番を交代していない間に、
新居八兵衛父子の御目見えが仰せ付けられ下馬御門を通った際、
どこからも指図がないところを通したが、御法もあることなので不注意の至りである。よってお叱りになる。
上記により六郎右衛門が伺いの上、謹慎し十月五日に御免となった。
一、永平寺が登城する場合は御門所の加人が出る予定である。瓦御門に加えて出る。太鼓御門は御先物頭が出勤し、出番所の加人が出る。
一、文化九年申六月八日、御先物頭から別紙の通り御門所の御締道具に損傷箇所があると報告があったため、その件を御武具支配の中村仲へ申し達した。

Regarding the above, Jūrobei was summoned to Sakai Tange's residence and this was conveyed through Inspectors Hori Jūbei and Ōtani Gizaemon.

To Weapons Officer Sakai Rokurōemon
On the 22nd of this month when you were on duty, and on the following 23rd when the guard had not yet been relieved,
Nii Hachimbei and his son were granted an audience and passed through Geba Gate.
You allowed passage without instructions from anywhere, but since there are regulations about this, it was extremely careless. Therefore, you are reprimanded.
Regarding the above, Rokurōemon requested and was confined, then pardoned on the 5th of the 10th month.
