現代語訳
由比・興津の辺りで、あの大風雨の翌朝、海岸の様子を見たところ、大小の船が破損して、吹き寄せられた波に漂っているのは目を驚かせるばかりであった。しかし、さすが海辺の眺望は目の届く限り広がっているので、遠くの浦々は嵐があったとも思われず、いつもと変わらない絶景で、森は青々と水を含み、煙が立ち上る里々はとても豊かに見えたという話をここに図示するだけである。

英語訳
In the area around Yui and Okitsu, when we observed the coastal conditions the morning after that great windstorm, we saw large and small boats damaged and drifting in the waves that had been blown ashore - a sight that was truly shocking to behold. However, being a coastal area with views extending as far as the eye could see, the distant bays showed no signs of having experienced a storm, appearing as beautiful as always with forests lush and green, retaining their moisture, and villages with rising smoke that looked very prosperous.
