（赤城神社）下付近では、この辺りの町屋・小屋敷・組屋敷のいずれも所々に潰れ家が多い。榎町では損害が多く、御箪笥町通りの小屋敷・組屋敷にも所々に潰れ家がある。柳町・高田辺は一帯にわたって損じ、若松町通り・袋町の組屋敷はことごとく大破に及んだ。大久保・抜弁天の町家・小屋敷ともに潰れ家が多く、永沢家の表門長屋が崩れた。新宿の遊女屋は所々傷み、谷町・合羽坂辺りの組屋敷はほぼ損じた。番町通りの横立屋敷は所々損じ、市ヶ谷御門外の通りも少々傷んだ。尾張様の御館は所々損じ、四ッ谷通り・伊賀町辺りの組屋敷は所々大破した。赤坂氷川明神の境内では大木が折れること夥しく、真田侯の屋敷長屋が崩れ、相馬侯の長屋も崩れた。鮫ヶ橋・権□原・青山通りはことごとく破損し、大木が倒れること数を知らず。百人町から渋谷・道玄坂の間にも、潰れ家が所々に見えた。

Below (Akagi Shrine): In this vicinity, town houses (machiya), small residences (koyashiki), and group residences (kumiyashiki) alike show many collapsed buildings throughout. Enoki-chō suffered considerable damage, and small residences and group residences along Otansu-machi street also have collapsed buildings here and there. Yanagi-chō and the Takada area suffered damage across the entire district; the group residences along Wakamatsu-chō street and Fukuro-chō were completely devastated. In Ōkubo and Nuke-Benten, many town houses and small residences collapsed, and the gate tenement of the Nagasawa estate crumbled. Brothels in Shinjuku were damaged in various places, and the group residences around Tani-machi and Kappa-zaka were largely damaged. The lateral residences along Banchō street suffered damage in places, and the area outside Ichigaya Gate was slightly damaged. The mansion of the Lord of Owari suffered damage in places; group residences along the Yotsuya street and around Iga-chō were severely damaged in various locations. Within the precincts of Akasaka Hikawa Shrine, an extraordinary number of large trees were snapped. The tenement of Lord Sanada's residence collapsed, as did the tenement of Lord Sōma's residence. Samegabashi, Gon□-hara, and the Aoyama thoroughfare were all devastated, with innumerable large trees toppled. Between Hyakunin-chō and the Shibuya–Dōgenzaka area, collapsed buildings were visible in various places.
