一 只今ゟ新米之先売先買致候由相聞候此以後
堅停止ニ被 仰付候只今迄致懸候売買共ニ間銀当
月十五日切相返可申候右ノ趣相背候ハゝ御吟味之
上急度可被 仰付事
一 米手形不致取持者質札を以売買致候由相聞候
此以後質札ニ而売買致候事堅停止ニ被 仰付候
内々ニ而若質札ニ而売買致候段相知候ハゝ急度

一、八月朔日（ついたち）、御祝儀として御使者・御物頭の皆川平左衛門（勝国）をもって、例の通り御太刀・馬代を献上した。
一、同月六日、新米の売買の儀につき、以下の書付をもって、金津奉行・町奉行・御預所役人・三郡奉行へ御家老より申し渡した。
覚
一、只今より新米の先売り・先買いを致す由、相聞こえ候。この以後、堅く停止に仰せ付けられ候。只今まで懸け（かかり）致し候売買とも、間銀（まぎん）を当月十五日切りに相返すべく候。右の趣に背き候わば、御吟味の上、急度（きっと）仰せ付けられるべき事。
一、米手形を取り持たず、質札をもって売買致す由、相聞こえ候。この以後、質札にて売買致す事、堅く停止に仰せ付けられ候。内々にて、もし質札にて売買致す段、相知れ候わば、急度仰せ付けられるべき候事。
右の趣、末々まで堅く申し付くべく候。以上。
八月六日
一、同月二十一日、御徒格以下の跡目の儀につき、以下の通り仰せ出された。
御徒の者格以下、跡目を仰せ付けられざる者どもが病死致し候得ば、近年は支配々々より、その者の倅（せがれ）有り、又は養（子有り…）

Item: On the first day of the eighth month, as a congratulatory offering, the domain's officer (go-mono-gashira) Minakawa Heizaemon (Katsukuni) was dispatched as envoy, and a sword and horse-substitute gift (uma-dai) were presented as customary.
Item: On the sixth day of the same month, regarding the buying and selling of new rice, the following written notice was conveyed by the senior house elder (go-karō) to the Kanazu Magistrate, the Town Magistrate, the officials of the directly administered territories (go-azukari-sho), and the Three-District Magistrate:

**Memorandum**
Item: It has come to our attention that some persons are engaging in forward sales and forward purchases of new rice [i.e., trading rice before it has been harvested]. Henceforth, this is strictly prohibited by official order. With regard to transactions of this nature already entered into, the margin payments (ma-gin) shall be cancelled and returned by the fifteenth day of the current month. Should anyone act in violation of this order, the matter will be investigated and strict punishment will be imposed.
Item: It has come to our attention that some persons are engaging in buying and selling using pawn certificates (shichi-fuda) rather than going through the proper rice-bill (kome-tegata) channels. Henceforth, the buying and selling of rice by means of pawn certificates is strictly prohibited by official order. Should it come to light that anyone is secretly conducting such transactions using pawn certificates, strict punishment will be imposed.
The foregoing is to be firmly communicated to all persons at every level. The above.
