一 十一月二十二日、御内証（非公式）にて拝領した朝鮮人参の苗を、御徒・韮塚万次郎と田嶋平太夫が道中を守護して、本日福井に到着した。
一 同月二十八日、寒中につき御機嫌をうかがうため、御使者として大御番・雨森庄九郎を江戸表へ派遣した。本日、福井を出立した。
一 十二月十一日、上記と同様の御使者・雨森庄九郎が、去る九日に江戸へ到着し、本日の朝、御用番・松平左近将監（乗邑）殿へ出向き、御書を差し出した。
一 同月十二日、寒中につき、御書をもって例年通り御国産の一番生鱈を献上された。
一 同月十三日、大目付衆から松平安芸守（吉長）殿・有馬中務大輔（頼元）殿の留守居へ渡された御書付が、右の留守居から以下の通り廻達があった。
一 これまで毎月三日に西丸へ御献上がなかったが、今後は献上すべきこと。
一 六月四日・十月三日は、御本丸とともに献上物を差し控えること。
十二月
一 同月十四日、大目付衆から銅山の件につき、以下の通り御廻状が届いた。
一 近年、銅の産出が取り締まれていないため、先般、銅座を設けて申し付け、銅座以外で銅の売買を行わず、残らず銅座へ売り渡すよう触れを出したところ、山元において囲い置いて他所へ売っているとの風聞がある。もしそのような事実があれば、不届きの至りであるから、各国において厳しく

One: On the twenty-second day of the eleventh month, seedlings of Korean ginseng (chōsen ninjin) that had been received through unofficial/private channels arrived in Fukui today, having been escorted along the road by the foot soldiers (okachi) Nirakuza Manjirō and Tajima Heidayū.
One: On the twenty-eighth day of the same month, in order to pay respects and inquire after the lord's well-being during the cold season, a messenger, the grand guard (ōoban) Amemori Shōkurō, was dispatched to Edo. He departed Fukui on this day.
One: On the eleventh day of the twelfth month, the aforementioned messenger Amemori Shōkurō arrived in Edo on the ninth day and appeared this morning before the duty councilor (goyōban) Matsudaira Sakonshōgen (Norimuら) to present the letter.
One: On the twelfth day of the same month, in accordance with seasonal custom during the cold season, the finest fresh cod (ichibanki nama-tara), a regional product of the domain, was presented as a gift via a letter.
One: On the thirteenth day of the same month, a written notice was issued from the office of the ōmetsuke (grand inspectors) and passed to the resident deputies (rusuī) of Lord Matsudaira Aki-no-kami (Yoshinaga) and Lord Arima Nakatsukasa-no-tayū (Yoriaki), who then circulated it as follows:
One: Whereas until now there has been no monthly presentation on the third day to the Nishi-no-Maru (the western compound of Edo Castle), henceforth such presentations shall be made.
One: On the fourth day of the sixth month and the third day of the tenth month, offerings to both the Hon-maru (main compound) shall be refrained from.
Twelfth month
One: On the fourteenth day of the same month, a circular notice (mawashijō) arrived from the grand inspectors (ōmetsuke) regarding the copper mines, as follows:
One: As the output of copper has not been properly controlled in recent years, the copper guild (dōza) was previously established and a notice was issued directing that copper not be traded outside the copper guild and that all copper be sold to the copper guild. However, there are rumors that copper is being stockpiled at the mines and sold elsewhere. Should such practices indeed be occurring, they are the height of misconduct.
