一 当村石切之儀悉詮儀仕今年書上之外壱
人も無御座候然上は石切共旅先ニ而随分実躰正
路相巡候様申付承知致候若帳面除キ隠置候
数御聴及候ハヽ其御注進可被成候条承知
仕候上は拙者共如何様之御咎被
仰付候共少も御恨無之候為後日一
札差出申候所依而如件

一、当村の石切の件について詳しく調査いたしまして、今年書き上げました以外に一人もございません。そうであるからには、石切たちが旅先において十分に真面目な正しい道を歩むよう申し付け、承知いたしました。もし帳面から除いて隠し置いている人数をお聞き及びになりましたら、その旨お知らせくださいますよう、承知いたしました。そうなりました上は、私どもがどのようなお咎めを仰せ付けられましても、少しもお恨みすることはございません。後日のために一札差し出し申す次第でございます。

Should you hear of any numbers we have excluded from the records and concealed, please inform us of such matters, which we acknowledge. Should this occur, no matter what punishment may be imposed upon us, we harbor no resentment whatsoever. We submit this pledge for future reference.
