御棚撤去後、社司が各々庁屋に着座した後に参向した。《この時、肝煎中や祠官の着座の体を見繕い、日代に知らせたため、湯屋から参向した》まず奈良社拝殿に到着し《その時奈良社に一拝》、暫時猶予した《座席なく南の端で西面》。その時肝煎中が土廊に到着し、大幣に結び添えてある六郷の啓文を執り来て、拝殿において片木の上に重ね載せた。《先ず上包みを除き、札紙のみか。末の郷をもって次第に上となるよう重ね並べ、河上郷啓文は最下に重ねる》
神人を招いた《三人来る》。事が完了した後、拝殿を降り《その時沓を着用》、南へ徐々に行った。神人二人が松明を取り、次に矢刀祢が啓文を持ち《片木に載せて》、各々先行して板塀の南から御棚の三脚と三脚の間を径て《もっとも御棚撤去の時分、肝煎中にこの間を明け置かせたのである》参進し、石壇に到着した。沓を脱いで一揖し、落縁の座に着いた。《兼ねてより小預が円座三枚を儲けておいた。一枚は目代の座、二枚は啓文の料である》座についてから一揖し、次に社司へ一揖すると社司が答揖した。
次に啓文を取り《片木に載せたまま》前の円座の上に安置した。次に扇を披いて左方の円座の上に置いた。次に先ず小野郷啓文を取り、礼紙を除き《左方の座の傍らに置く》、これを披いて一覧の上、扇の上に置いた。その他各一通ずつこのように扇の上に重ね載せた。《もっとも河上郷を上とする》右をことごとく披き終わり、六郷の啓文を重ね持った。《その時扇を畳んで礼紙の上に安置した》
社司へ気色を示した後、左の膝を起こし、河上郷啓文から郷の次に任せてこれを読んだ《微音で》。《もっとも一枚ずつ読み終わったら左裏の方へ》その時頭人一人ずつ平伏し、六郷共に読み終わった。《また河上郷を上とする》膝を直し初めの如く片木に載せ《この時重ねたまま二つ折りにし、礼紙等は同前》、矢刀祢に渡した。扇を執り社司へ一揖し、次に座で一揖して起座し、落縁を降り、沓を履いて一揖し、本路を経て退散した。《ただし校倉の辺において、矢刀祢の所持する啓文を召し具して持たせ、里亭に帰った。よって矢刀祢等は退下した》

After the removal of the sacred shelf, the shrine priests each took their seats in the office building, then proceeded to the ceremony. (At this time, observing the seating arrangements of the village headmen and shrine officials, the daily deputy was informed, so they proceeded from the bathhouse.) First arriving at the worship hall of Nara Shrine (at which time they made one bow to Nara Shrine), they waited briefly (without seats, facing west at the southern end). At that time, the village headmen arrived at the earthen corridor and brought the written reports from the six villages that were tied to the large purification wands, placing them stacked on wooden tablets in the worship hall. (First removing the outer wrapping, leaving only the paper tags. The villages were arranged in order with the last village on top, and the Kawakami village report was placed at the bottom of the stack.)
They summoned the shrine attendants (three came). After the matter was completed, they descended from the worship hall (putting on shoes at this time) and slowly proceeded southward. Two shrine attendants took torches, then the arrow-keeper held the written reports (loaded on wooden tablets), each proceeding first through the space between the tripods of the sacred shelf from the south of the board fence (the village headmen had been made to keep this space clear during the time of the shelf removal). They proceeded and arrived at the stone platform. After removing shoes and bowing, they took seats on the stepped platform. (The assistant had previously prepared three round cushions - one for the deputy's seat, two for the written reports.)
After taking their seats and bowing, then bowing once to the shrine priest, the shrine priest returned the bow.
Next, they took the written reports (while still on the wooden tablets) and placed them on the front round cushion. Then they opened their fans and placed them on the round cushion to the left. Next, they first took the Ono village written report, removed the ceremonial paper (placing it beside the left seat), opened and reviewed it, then placed it on the fan. Each of the others was similarly stacked one by one on the fan. (With Kawakami village on top.) After opening and reviewing all of them, they held the six villages' written reports stacked together. After signaling to the shrine priest, they raised their left knee and read from the Kawakami village report according to village order (in a low voice). (Reading one sheet at a time, then to the left reverse side.) At that time, one headman at a time prostrated themselves, and all six villages' reports were read. (Again with Kawakami village on top.) Straightening their knees as before, they placed them on the wooden tablet (at this time folding them in half while stacked, with ceremonial papers as before) and handed them to the arrow-keeper. Holding their fan, they bowed once to the shrine priest, then bowed while seated, rose, descended the stepped platform, put on shoes, bowed, and departed via the main route. (However, at the vicinity of the storehouse, they had the arrow-keeper carry the written reports he held and returned to the village pavilion. Thus the arrow-keeper and others withdrew.)
