一 今朝お白顕亭有田所始之儀仍目代々も浄衣ニて行向
人数者郷方拾人預目代々目代小日記役等已上十四人也
尤目代々小日記役等へハ時分触無之間目代ゟ有案内
座は老次也献立以下座敷之式詳于別記仍略之
菓子茶等出後納所方三人を勝手へ相退次披露事并
返抄紙等支配之儀有之返捗吉書之儀了各退散
現代語訳
便所に安置し、次に卯鑰社に参進して大床に供え、再拝両段にて祝詞を申し上げる。
《掛けまくも畏き卯鑰社の宇津の広前に恐み恐みも申さく。そもそも今日は例に任せて吉書を奉備るこの状を平らけく安らけく聞し食して、社頭繁栄、五穀成就、社家安静に常磐堅磐に夜の守り日の護りに守り幸い賜へと恐み恐みも申し寿ぐ》
拍手を了えて撤し、退下して床に安置し、本座に復す。《但し或いは卯鑰社に供えず、その席において三方に載せ、卯輪社の方に向け置くという云々。これもまた一説か》
次に献の儀がある。初献引渡《先ず搗栗五、昆布五切を各々小角に載せ、箸を添えて三方に載せ、神主の前に安置する。目代々、目代等は平折敷に載せる。その品は前と同じ》
次に三盞三度、土器三枚を三方に載せて神主の前に安置する。御酒《冷たい清酒を銚子に入れ、神師は浄衣を着て取り酌ぐ。大工は上下を着て役に就く》
先ず神主より初献を目代々に転じ、それより目代に転じ、各々三献の後にこれを撒く。二献は雑煮《餅の上に大根芋、結昆布、串蚫を置く。飯器に入れ、向付は無し。神主は三方、その他は平折敷。もっとも初献と引き替え。但し箸は残し置く。銚子を見せて出した後に取る》
御酒《温酒》を錫に入れて時に蓋盞にて各々三献。三献は吸物《菜、雉子を入れて三度土器。神主は三方、その他は平折敷。初めの如く引き替える。但しこの時塗盞一枚を添える。銚子を見せて出した後に箸を取る》
御酒《前と同じ》を塗盞にて三献《各々神主より初める。但し三献に限らず、別に塗盞を出し《台に載せる》挨拶をして数反流し巡らす》
肴三種《但し外に御退きの鯉》を献ずる儀事了。先達て撤し置いた文書等を懐にし、一礼を述べて退散する。
八日
一、今朝御白顕亭にて田所始の儀がある。よって目代々も浄衣にて行き向かう。人数は郷方十人、預目代々、目代、小日記役等、以上十四人なり。もっとも目代々、小日記役等へは時分の触れが無い間、目代より案内がある。座は老次なり。献立以下座敷の式は別記に詳しいのでこれを略す。菓子茶等を出した後、納所方三人を勝手へ相い退け、次に披露事並びに返抄紙等の支配の儀がある。返捗吉書の儀了、各々退散。
英語訳
[The documents] are placed in the designated location, then [the priest] proceeds to Unō Shrine, makes offerings on the great altar, and recites ritual prayers with double prostrations.
"Hanging fearfully before the revered Unō Shrine's sacred broad presence, with fear and reverence I speak. Today, following precedent, I humbly prepare these auspicious writings. May [you] hear and receive them peacefully and safely, [granting] prosperity to the shrine precincts, successful grain harvests, tranquility to the shrine household, eternal and firm protection night and day, and blessings. With fear and reverence I speak these felicitations."
After completing the hand-clapping, [the offerings] are removed and withdrawn, placed on the altar, and [he] returns to the original seat. (However, there is [another method] where offerings are not made to Unō Shrine, but instead [the documents] are placed on a three-legged tray at that location and positioned facing toward Una Shrine, etc. This is also one theory.)
Next comes the offering ceremony. Initial offering presentation: First, five pounded chestnuts and five cut pieces of kelp are each placed in small dishes, chopsticks are added, placed on a three-legged tray, and set before the head priest. The deputy chief and deputy place [theirs] on flat serving trays. The items are the same as before.
Next, three sake cups for three rounds and three earthenware vessels are placed on a three-legged tray and set before the head priest. Sacred sake (cold clear sake is put in a sake server, the divine master wears purified vestments to pour and serve it, the carpenter wears formal attire to perform his role).
First, the head priest transfers the initial offering to the deputy chief, who then transfers it to the deputy. After each performs three offerings, they scatter [rice]. The second offering is zōni soup (with daikon radish and taro placed on top of rice cakes, tied kelp, and skewered abalone. Served in rice bowls without side dishes. The head priest uses a three-legged tray, others use flat serving trays. This replaces the initial offering, but chopsticks are left in place. The sake server is shown and then removed).
Sacred sake (warmed sake) is put in pewter vessels, and each performs three offerings with lidded cups. The three offerings include soup (containing vegetables and pheasant, served in earthenware vessels three times. Head priest uses three-legged tray, others use flat serving trays, replaced as before. However, at this time one lacquered cup is added. After showing and removing the sake server, chopsticks are taken).
Sacred sake (same as before) with lacquered cups for three offerings (each begins from the head priest, but not limited to three offerings; separately lacquered cups are brought out on stands for greetings and circulated several times).
Three types of side dishes (additionally, carp for the conclusion) are offered, completing the ceremony. The documents that were previously set aside are put away, a bow is made, and [everyone] disperses.
Eighth Day
1. This morning there is the ceremony for the beginning of rice field work at the Hakken Pavilion. Therefore the deputy chief also goes wearing purified vestments. The number of people is ten from the village side, the assistant deputy chief, deputy, small diary clerk, etc.—fourteen people in total. Since there was no time notification to the deputy chief and small diary clerk, the deputy provides notice. Seating is by seniority. The menu and room arrangements are detailed in a separate record, so they are omitted here. After serving sweets, tea, etc., three people from the treasury retire to the kitchen area. Next there are matters of announcement and administration of returned draft papers, etc. The ceremony of returning and distributing auspicious writings is completed, and everyone disperses.
