現代語訳
地理風土のことを問いたいと思うが、文字は通じず、言語も相分からないため、蝦夷によって問うと、ビヤンコは山丹の長であって、他に守護人はいないとのことである。
英語訳
We wished to inquire about the geography and customs of the land, but since written characters do not communicate and the language is mutually incomprehensible, when we asked through the Ezo, [we learned that] Byanco is the leader of the Santan and there are no other guardian officials.
