蠣崎慶広という者が初めて豊臣家に出仕した。次いで慶長四年の冬、神祖（徳川家康）に拝謁を賜った。それより従五位下を賜り、改めて松前志摩守と号させ、代々松前に封じ置かれるという。これが正説であろう。
英語訳
A man named Kakizaki Yoshihiro first entered service with the Toyotomi family. Subsequently, in the winter of Keichō 4 (1599), he was granted an audience with Shinsō (Tokugawa Ieyasu). From that time, he was granted the court rank of Junior Fifth Rank, Lower Grade, and was made to take the name Matsumae Shima-no-kami, with his descendants being enfeoffed in Matsumae for generations. This would be the correct account.
