現代語訳
《見せ消ち：それ以来、外国人が来ることはなかった。しかしながら、このような事は必ず報告しなければならない。もし上（幕府）が許可して交易を行わせるならば、国の福（幸い）となるであろうと後に言う者がいる。また今更報告するのは良くないと言う者もいて、決定できずにいる。》
英語訳

If the authorities above were to grant permission and allow trade, it could become a blessing for the country, some say later. Others say that reporting it now would be inappropriate, and no decision has been made.》
