二十余人が生存した。しかし、赤人（ロシア人）は仇を報じるつもりではなく、道案内の蝦夷を誘って連れて来て、和睦を請い、土産物を携えて来てアイヌに与えた。ここにおいて和睦し、毎年ウルップ島に来るようになったという。

More than twenty people survived. However, the red people (Russians) did not intend to seek revenge, but rather brought along Ainu guides to lead the way, requested peaceful relations, and brought local products as gifts to give to the Ainu. At this point they made peace, and it is said that [the Russians] came to Urup Island every year thereafter.
