Article 7: When a local official receives a report from a physician that there is an "Asiatic cholera" patient within their jurisdiction, they shall thoroughly investigate the authenticity of the disease and the severity of various symptoms. If they confirm it to be true "Asiatic cholera," they shall appoint committee members to commence preventive measures, report to the Ministry of Home Affairs, and notify neighboring local government offices within their jurisdiction.
Article 8: When physicians examine "cholera" patients, they shall immediately report each case to the local government office through the ward/village headman or medical supervisor.
Article 9: Local government offices shall collect the daily reports submitted by physicians, record the number of patients and the number of deaths, and report these to the Ministry of Home Affairs every Saturday.
Article 10: When the spread of "cholera" disease is vigorous, the local governor shall post daily announcements within their jurisdiction of the number of deaths in each 24-hour period.
Article 11: Owners of rental houses, inns, berthed ships, schools, and various manufacturing establishments - all those who manage large numbers of people - shall report to committee members, ward/village headmen, or medical supervisors within 24 hours if anyone under their care contracts "cholera" disease.
Article 12: Military camp commanders and naval vessel captains shall also notify their local government office within 24 hours when "cholera" patients appear among their subordinates.
