余震は6月7月まで続いて止まった。同年4月25日、越後国高田で大地震が発生。酉の刻から丑の刻まで30回余り震動があり、山が崩れ、民家が倒れ、死者はおよそ1万6千3百余人といわれる。○同6年7月晦日、近江国で大地震。
【後桜町天皇】【明和】3年正月28日、奥州津軽青森辺りで大雪の中大地震が発生、大火により多くの人が被害を受けた。○同8年5月2日江戸で地震、同6月2日江戸で大地震。
【光格天皇】【天明】2年7月14日丑の刻、江戸で同前の地震。同15日にもまた大きく震動し、民家が倒れた。翌朝まで15、6回震動した。この時相州小田原では特に激しく、箱根山並びに小田原の城中の石垣が崩れ、民家の破損も多かった。○同3年2月2日丑の刻、江戸で大地震。
【寛政】4年閏2月、この月肥前国島原領で山が噴火し、湯が湧き流れて多くの人が死んだ。国中が震動して火の光が他国まで照らした。
【享和】3年11月15日、佐渡国で大地震により揺れ、翌年6月まで続いた。以上。
【文化】元年、出羽国で地震し、象潟の山が崩れ地が陥没し、天下にも稀な景勝地を損なった。同6年2月21日から24日まで、信州松本領安曇郡の山中で鳴動した。同24日夕方、南北500間余り、東西900間余りの大地が破れ裂け、岩石が抜け崩れ、中谷村等4村の枝郷6ヶ所、家数27軒、田畑ともに窪み落ちたが、人馬には被害がなかった。○同7年元日、佐渡国で大地震、連日止まらなかった。○同9年11月4日、江戸並びに近国で大地震。神奈川保土ヶ谷辺りは特に激しく、民家が破れ倒れた。
