[The residences suffered] fire damage. The guard post at Hibiya gate burned down. The residences of Lord Matsudaira Tosa-no-kami and Lord Doi Ōi-no-kami suffered great damage. Outside the same gate, Lord Matsudaira Hizen-no-kami's residence burned, and Lord Matsudaira Daizenno-daibu's residence inside the gate suffered some fire damage. The residences of Lord Arima Bingo-no-kami and Lord Nambu Mino-no-kami burned. On the opposite side, the front tenement of the Satsuma domain's ceremonial costume storehouse quarters suffered slight fire damage. Inside Saiwaibashi gate, one middle tenement building belonging to Yanagisawa Tokinosuke, Lord Itō, and Lord Kamei burned, while Lord Hōjō Mino-no-kami's residence had the fire stop after slight damage. Lord Abe Harima-no-kami's residence inside Yamashita gate suffered total collapse. From there, Lord Morikawa's residence at the corner of Tatsunokuchi burned. Lord Sakai Uta-no-kami's residence at the front of Ōte suffered fire damage, while the main gate remained standing, and the facing residence burned. In general, both the areas within Tokiwa-bashi bridge and Kanda-bashi bridge suffered severe damage. In the Soto-Sakurada area (Kasumigaseki), the Aki domain residence suffered no problems, Lord Kuroda's residence sustained slight damage, and Lord Ii Kamon-no-kami's residence suffered no problems. The majority of the heavily fortified tenement buildings of other daimyo lords collapsed. In Nagata district, the residences of Lord Ōmura, Lord Hosokawa, Lord Watanabe, and Lord Niwa Sakyō-no-daibu, as well as hatamoto residences in the surrounding area, were damaged. In Ogawa district, the residences of Lord Inaba and Lord Tsuchiya around Omote-Sarugaku district suffered severe damage, Lord Toda's residence burned, while the main gate and tenements remained standing. Also, one building belonging to Nakarai Izumo-no-kami burned. Furthermore, both the front and rear of Jinbō alley burned, and the designated fire brigade quarters also burned.
