現代語訳
東大寺の盧舎那仏は、孝謙天皇の天平勝宝元年（749年）七月に鋳造し奉ったものである。座像の高さは五丈三尺六寸、お顔の長さは一丈七尺、幅は九尺五寸、肉髻（にっけい）の高さは三尺である。
英語訳
The Vairocana Buddha (*Rushanabutsu*) at Tōdai-ji was cast in the seventh month of the first year of Tenpyō-Shōhō (749 CE), during the reign of Empress Kōken. The seated statue stands five *jō*, three *shaku*, and six *sun* in height; the face measures one *jō* and seven *shaku* in length and nine *shaku* and five *sun* in width; and the *uṣṇīṣa* (the cranial protuberance atop the head) stands three *shaku* high.
