この者は凶作の際の手当てとして他から
譲り受けたところ、凶作の時節にもかかわらず
立ち直ることができたので、この度
お祝儀を献上したいと申し出ました。
一、金五両 《割書：山室村｜源左衛門》
この者は名主役を度々務め、厚い
ご恩恵を受けているので献上いたします。
この両名について、お褒めいただきますようお願い申し上げます。
一、金壱両 《割書：非持村｜又三郎》

【左丁】
この者（後家）の夫又三郎は文政七申年に
役職についていましたが、不正の罪に問われた者です。この度、もし又三郎が
生きていれば、何らかの冥加金を献上し、お取り立てを
お願いしたいと考えていたでしょうが、女の身であり、心の底からは
及びませんが、わずかばかりの献金をいたします、と申し出ました。もっとも少額の
ことなので、お褒めいただくほどのことではございませんが、美しい志
ということで申し上げます。

この者は亥年正月に自宅が焼失し、
不始末があったため追放処分と
なりましたが、ご慈悲により土地・家財等は家族の
者に下し置かれました。ところが同人の妻は去る六月に持病で
亡くなり、今年は子供三人を親類のもとへ

This person's (the widow's) husband Matazaburo was in an official position in Bunsei 7 (1824),
but was found guilty of misconduct. At this time, if Matazaburo were
still alive, he would have wanted to present some kind of thanksgiving money and request
rehabilitation, but being a woman, she cannot fully express
her true feelings, so she presents this small donation. Although it is a small amount
and not worthy of recognition, we mention it
because of the beautiful intention.
