現代語訳

似ている。枝ごとに細葉があり浅緑色である。すなわち石松（ひかげのかずら）《本草綱目》の類である。夏、茎葉が地に
着いて小苗を生じ、分株して繁殖する。
しょうじょうばかま《漢名未詳》山麓の陰湿な地に生育する。その葉は浅緑色で冬
を経ても枯れず、地面に広がって数枚の葉を生じる。春、中心部から短い茎を生じ、茎の
先端に薄紫色の花を開き、集まって咲く。茎のそばに若葉を生じる。夏秋の
間に至り、古い葉の先端が地に着いて根を生じ、分生する。
すずかけそう《漢名未詳》春、古い根から苗を生じる。茎葉ともに毛が
ある。夏、葉の間に紫碧色の花を開き、集まって咲く。茎は長く斜めに伸び、
四、五尺に及び、秋、茎の先端が地に着いて根を生じ、すなわち分株する。

similar. Each branch has fine leaves of pale green color. It is a type of club moss (hikage-no-kazura) 《Bencao Gangmu》. In summer, when the stem and leaves touch the ground,
they produce small seedlings and propagate by division.
Shortia (shōjō-bakama) 《Chinese name unknown》 Grows in shaded, moist areas at the foot of mountains. Its leaves are pale green and do not
wither through winter, spreading on the ground and producing several leaves. In spring, it produces a short stem from the center, and at the stem
tip opens pale purple flowers that bloom in clusters. Young leaves grow beside the stem. During the period between summer and autumn,
the tips of old leaves touch the ground, produce roots, and reproduce by division.
Suzukake-sō 《Chinese name unknown》 In spring, it produces shoots from old roots. Both stem and leaves have
hair. In summer, it opens purple-blue flowers between the leaves, blooming in clusters. The stem grows long and diagonally,
reaching four to five shaku, and in autumn, when the stem tip touches the ground, it produces roots and thus propagates by division.
