去月大地震已来満水等非常変災一統難渋之時節にて
小屋掛其外作事多之義に付大工職人等幾重にも致出情
所相励候万一心得違にて作料日雇是迄定之外余分受
取候ては不相済事に候其旨急度相守心得違無之様

先月の大地震以来、洪水などの非常な変災により、一般に難渋している時節であり、仮小屋の設営やその他の普請・作事が多いことにつき、大工・職人等は一層情けを尽くし、精励してきたところである。万一心得違いにて、工賃・日雇い賃銀をこれまでの定めの外に余分に受け取っては相済まぬことである。その旨をしっかりと相守り、心得違いのなきよう、誠実に働くべき旨を、各種職人のいる村々の役人より申し伝え、各々その段を心得るべきものである。

**Copy of the Re-Issued Notice**
Since the great earthquake of last month, flooding and other extraordinary disasters have brought widespread hardship to the people. As there is now a great deal of work involved in erecting temporary shelters and carrying out other construction, carpenters and other craftsmen are to exert themselves with compassion and diligence. Should any among them, through misunderstanding of proper conduct, receive wages or day-labor payments in excess of the established rates, this would be inexcusable. Village officials in villages where various craftsmen reside are hereby to communicate that each craftsman is to observe this instruction strictly, harbor no misunderstanding, and labor with sincerity and honesty. Each person is to take heed accordingly.
