（御本堂は）無難であった。御本堂へは毎夜、通夜のために旅人が数百人こもるのが常であったが、同夜は特に多くがこもっていたにもかかわらず、一人も怪我もなく無難に出ることができた。ありがたいことである。
一、寺領の町家で焼失したのは、大門町（上・下）・長野町・西町（上・下）・西之門（上・下）・阿弥陀院町・立町・御門前・御長家・桜小路・あら町・新町・伊勢町・横山小路・岩石町・東西横町・岩石小路・武井・東町（上・下）・広小路・花屋小路・新小路・鐘鋳小路・七ツ釜・後丁（上・中）・権堂町ならびに裏茶屋町、その他に河原崎・横大門。
片羽（など）。当時、御如来様の御仮家は丑寅（北東）の方角、堀切と申す野の中に設けられ、別当・大勧進の三寺中ならびに掛かりの御役人が守護にあたり、滞りなく御開帳が済んだとのことである。

The main hall came through unharmed. Every night, several hundred traveling pilgrims would normally lodge in the main hall for overnight vigils (tsuya), and on that particular night an unusually large number were gathered there — yet not a single person was injured, and all emerged safely. This was truly a matter for deep gratitude.

Oshigane village and Yoshida village were more than half destroyed. All the post towns and villages along the way as far as Sekikawa-juku in Echigo Province were destroyed.
