現代語訳
尊は御子四人のご誕生がある
これが天神七代なり、人の始めなり
第一 天照大御神
第二 正哉我勝尊
第三 瓊々杵尊
第四 火火出見尊
第五 鵜草葺不合尊
これは日代の御神なり。須弥の四州に四季がある。四季が積もって一年となるというけれども、四つの時は変わらず、これは法身・報身・応身の三身なり。慈悲の源なり。慈悲と正直は神明にてまします。
上は悲想天・悲々想天、下は水輪災・風輪。今でも畏れ多くも天照大神・月神・皇のご恩恵に漏れる所なし。これは皆須弥山一つの沙汰を申すといえども、右に申す山河も同じことである。然るに八大龍王は八大海に川の潤いまでも人間に与え給うなり。

These are the deities of the solar lineage. In the four continents of Mount Sumeru there are four seasons. Though the four seasons accumulate to form a year, the four times do not change - these are the three bodies of Dharma, Reward, and Response. They are the source of compassion. Compassion and honesty are divine manifestations.
Above are the Heaven of Sorrow and Heaven of Great Sorrow, below are water-cycle disasters and wind-cycles. Even now, there is no place that escapes the benevolent grace of Amaterasu Omikami, the Moon deity, and the Emperor. Though this all speaks of the governance of a single Mount Sumeru, the mountains and rivers mentioned above are the same matter. Thus the Eight Great Dragon Kings bestow even the moisture of rivers from the eight great seas to humanity.
