一酉刻過惣代季栄帰郷演説云申刻過西へ出頭候処御用
掛り被引退ニ付入江前田両人之内へ可罷越旨被申置候由帳

社正遷宮之節警固之事如何社中ニは存候哉と被尋ニ付申答候ハ
社中ニ而は今明日之内ニも御役所へ可窺哉又は御下知も有之事哉と
評議未決之段申処左様可有之儀となし夫故両賀茂共相招
候趣御警固之儀御役所へ被申出候而も彼是隙取候計ニ而候故於御役
所致評議何分十九日之通両役所ゟ役人被差出候様仕度段
櫛笥殿へ可被差出候間早々被差出候ハヽ一緒ニ明朝ニ而も役所へ
相廻り候事となし其上は於御役所取計可有之候但此儀
内々之儀ニ候間必外へ申間敷候併櫛笥殿役人中へは内密
噂有之候而も苦カル間敷と被申 右之序弁参向被仰出候御届
書則入江氏へ相渡候事
一東目付方木村源八郎宅へ罷越弁参向届書差出処被申は
賀茂之儀殊外六ヶ敷候ニ付難請取候是ゟ御役所へ致同道
候ハヽ初夜半比迄掛り候由被申ニ付差候ハヽ明朝御役所へ可令
持参之旨申被持帰候事
一同夜為惣代業久壱人御伝奏御奉行へ警固御願書持参
其留 謹而言上
来廿五日片岡社正遷宮九月二日貴布祢社正遷宮
ニ付先格所司代之警固御差出御座候得共此節闕ニ付
去十九日之通両御役所役人被成下候様御願申上度奉存候
此段宜敷御沙汰被成下正遷宮無滞執行仕度奉存候ニ付

現代語訳
一、酉刻過ぎに惣代季栄が帰郷し、次のように報告した。申刻過ぎに西へ出頭したところ、御用
掛りが退席されたので、入江・前田両人のうちへ行くべき旨を申し置かれたとのこと。帳
場で申されたので、入江氏へ行き面談したところ、次のように申された。片岡社・貴布祢
社正遷宮の節の警固のことはいかがか、社中ではどのように考えておられるかと尋ねられたので、答えたのは、
社中では今明日のうちにでも御役所へ伺うべきか、または御下知もあることかと
評議が未決の段を申したところ、そのようなことであろうとして、それゆえ両賀茂とも招いた
趣旨は、御警固の儀を御役所へ申し出ても、あれこれ時間を取るだけなので、御役
所において評議し、何分十九日の通り両役所から役人を差し出すよう仕度の段を
櫛笥殿へ差し出すので、早々に差し出せば一緒に明朝にでも役所へ
回ることとし、その上は御役所において取り計らいがあろう。ただしこの儀は
内々の儀なので、必ず外へ申してはならない。しかし櫛笥殿や役人中へは内密に
噂があっても差し支えないと申された。右の序でに弁当参向を仰せ出された御届
書を入江氏へ渡した。
一、東目付方木村源八郎宅へ行き、弁当参向届書を差し出したところ、次のように申された。
賀茂の儀は殊の外難しいので受け取り難い。ここから御役所へ同道
すれば初夜半頃まで掛かるとのことで申されたので、それならば明朝御役所へ持参
する旨を申し、持ち帰った。
一、同夜、惣代として業久一人が御伝奏御奉行へ警固御願書を持参した。

来る二十五日片岡社正遷宮、九月二日貴布祢社正遷宮
につき、先例として所司代の警固をお差し出しいただいておりましたが、この節欠員のため
去る十九日の通り両御役所の役人をお出しくださるようお願い申し上げたく存じます。
この段、よろしく御沙汰を成し下され、正遷宮を滞りなく執行いたしたく存じますので
この段申し上げます。以上

For the formal relocation of Kataoka Shrine on the coming 25th day and the formal relocation of Kifune Shrine on the 2nd day of the 9th month,
according to precedent, security was provided by the City Magistrate, but due to current vacancies,
we would like to request that officials from both government offices be dispatched as was done on the 19th day.
We respectfully request that you issue favorable instructions on this matter so that the formal relocations may be carried out without incident.
