Abbreviated Procedures for the Proper Relocation of Kataoka Shrine
First, the head priest (shinshū), assistant priests (negi), ritual specialists (hafuri), ceremonial attendants (tengū), and clan members (ujibito) engage in seventeen days of devotional retreat at the shrine grounds.

On the same day, the Master of Onmyōdō purifies the area in front of the main hall.

Next, a secretary delivers the imperial edict to the assistant priest at the north eaves of the bridge hall, and the assistant priest receives and holds it up for divine viewing.

Next, the controller and other officials serve at the shrine grounds, dismounting outside the first torii and entering through the second torii.
At this time, the shrine officials line up at the side of the torii; when the controller bows once, the shrine officials bow in return.
