殿に舁き据え、拝殿北東角に置いた
一、御参向前に神主・両官・大田祢宜・転供等は下番所の西方で東上・南面に二重に立ち並び、弁上首に対して一礼し、社司が答礼した。幄（あく）へ御進み後、神主以下は召し具えを退け、神前の座に着いた。楽所は前庭上で北上・東面に円座を設け、後ろに転供を配置した
一、主水司は石檀の南寄りに御手水を設置し、勅使弁の御参向を相待った

They bowed once toward the senior Controller, and the shrine officials returned the bow. First, one shrine official including the Head Priest, Kibune Shrine priest, and ritual officiant, along with five clan members, conducted a seven-day retreat at the shrine.
The day before, the Imperial Carpentry Bureau constructed temporary curtained enclosures in the shrine courtyard (east of the worship hall).
The same day, the Yin-Yang Master performed purification rituals.
On the day itself, morning offerings were presented (served by priests and ritual officiants), and court musicians played music.
The same day, shrine officials and clan members proceeded to decorate the inner and outer chambers of the main hall (shrine officials in court dress, clan members in pure white robes).
Next, the imperial envoy and others proceeded to the rest pavilion and waited.
During this time, the Imperial Carpentry Bureau hung large curtains, the Palace Interior Bureau hung striped curtains, and the Palace Maintenance Bureau laid out mat pathways and cloth spreads.
