  申上候以上      《割書:酉》六月廿八日      上賀茂一社中印  一上棟相済候御礼為御届御伝奏御奉行御所司両御奉行所其外  佐久間甚八跡掛り与力同心六軒等へ惣代息久季栄出頭中井主水  下鴨寄宿之分は史顕出頭但上棟ニ付被送品略之 一大工共罷出御上棟相済候御礼申上候事 一御屋根へ昇りはしご之事若宮前正殿東軒へ権殿之時は西軒  口ニ被掛之尤御屋根之棚右はしご等本宮権殿共御普請方ゟ  被設之本宮権殿共御棚は弐間壱間半也 一蒔餅之儀は正殿之時若宮前西は権殿之前へ被蒔之尤雑人  多人数参詣押合拾取之候事 一上棟ニ付強飯酒等頂戴之割如左   一強飯 五升入 酒 三升 社司精進頭人三職作所   一同  壱斗入 酒壱斗  随意参向之輩    一同  三升入 酒弐升  楽人中   一同  五升入 酒三升   刀祢   一同  五升入 酒三升   神人   一同  五升入 酒弐升   大工   一同  壱斗入 酒五升   惣請負   一同  三斗入 酒五升  供僧中   一同  弐升入 酒弐升   松行事   一同  弐升入 酒弐升   出納  廿九日《割書:癸| 亥》晴 一今日神殿舎屋皆出来并御引渡相済候御礼御届巳刻計ゟ惣代  業久兼為出頭其ヶ所御伝奏櫛笥殿御奉行日野西弁殿江今日迄ニ  賀茂責布祢御造替御修復共皆出来御目附御見分等無滞相済                  《割書:(此所落字有之歟》  一社中へ不残御引渡被成候尤御神宝向候段御届申上候旨申

現代語訳

申し上げ候 以上      酉六月二十八日      上賀茂一社中印  一、上棟相済み候御礼として御届けのため、御伝奏・御奉行・御所司両御奉行所その外、佐久間甚八跡掛り与力同心六軒等へ惣代息久季栄出頭、中井主水、下鴨寄宿の分は史顕出頭。但し上棟に付き送られた品は略す。 一、大工共罷り出で御上棟相済み候御礼申し上げ候事 一、御屋根へ昇る梯子の事。若宮前正殿東軒へ、権殿の時は西軒口に掛けられる。尤も御屋根の棚、右梯子等、本宮権殿共に御普請方より設けられる。本宮権殿共に御棚は二間一間半なり。 一、蒔餅の儀は、正殿の時は若宮前、西は権殿の前へ蒔かれる。尤も雑人多人数参詣し押し合い拾い取り候事。 一、上棟に付き強飯・酒等頂戴の割り当て左の通り   一、強飯 五升入 酒 三升 社司・精進頭人・三職・作所   一、同  一斗入 酒一斗  随意参向の輩    一、同  三升入 酒二升  楽人中   一、同  五升入 酒三升  刀祢   一、同  五升入 酒三升  神人   一、同  五升入 酒二升  大工   一、同  一斗入 酒五升  惣請負   一、同  三斗入 酒五升  供僧中   一、同  二升入 酒二升  松行事   一、同  二升入 酒二升  出納 二十九日(癸亥)晴 一、今日神殿舎屋皆出来並びに御引渡し相済み候御礼御届け、巳刻計りより惣代業久兼為出頭。その箇所は御伝奏櫛笥殿・御奉行日野西弁殿へ。今日までに賀茂責布祢御造替・御修復共皆出来、御目附御見分等滞りなく相済み、(この所落字有るか)一社中へ残らず御引渡し成され候。尤も御神宝向け候段御届け申し上げ候旨申す。

英語訳

We respectfully report the above.      6th month, 28th day of the Year of the Rooster      Upper Kamo Shrine Community Seal  1. As gratitude for the completion of the roof-raising ceremony, for the purpose of notification to the Imperial messenger, magistrates, both magistrate offices of the imperial administrator, and others including the six houses of assistants and constables under Sakuma Jinpachi's successor, representative Iki Kiyoshisakae appeared, along with Nakai Mondo. For those staying at Shimogamo, Shi Akira appeared. However, items sent for the roof-raising ceremony are omitted. 1. The carpenters appeared and expressed gratitude for the completion of the roof-raising ceremony. 1. Regarding ladders for ascending to the roof: They are placed at the eastern eaves of the main hall in front of the auxiliary shrine, and at the western eaves entrance for the auxiliary hall. Moreover, the roof platforms and ladders are provided by the construction office for both the main shrine and auxiliary hall. The platforms for both the main shrine and auxiliary hall are 2 ken by 1.5 ken. 1. Regarding the mochi-scattering ceremony: For the main hall it is done in front of the auxiliary shrine, and for the west it is done in front of the auxiliary hall. Many common people participate in worship, pushing and scrambling to pick them up. 1. Distribution of hard-cooked rice and sake for the roof-raising ceremony as follows:   1 serving of hard-cooked rice (5 shō container), sake 3 shō - Shrine officials, purification leaders, three offices, construction supervisors   1 serving (1 to container), sake 1 to - Voluntary participants    1 serving (3 shō container), sake 2 shō - Musicians   1 serving (5 shō container), sake 3 shō - Shrine attendants   1 serving (5 shō container), sake 3 shō - Divine attendants   1 serving (5 shō container), sake 2 shō - Carpenters   1 serving (1 to container), sake 5 shō - General contractor   1 serving (3 to container), sake 5 shō - Buddhist priests   1 serving (2 shō container), sake 2 shō - Pine ceremony official   1 serving (2 shō container), sake 2 shō - Treasurer 29th day (Mizunoto-I) Clear weather 1. Today the shrine halls and buildings were all completed and the handover ceremony was completed. For the gratitude notification, from about the hour of the Snake, representative Gyōku Kanei appeared. The locations were to Imperial Messenger Lord Kushige and Magistrate Lord Hinnonishi Ben. By today, both the reconstruction and repairs of Kamo Semenu shrine were all completed, and the inspections by the supervisors were completed without incident.
