奉願口上覚
院御《見せ消ち：所｜寄》附御金燈籠本宮御前ニ壱対御座候処此度御造
替ニ付御社附之燈籠台共御修復新調等被仰付候然ル処御
寄附之御燈籠其侭ニ而は恐入奉存候享保年中之儀故
寛保御造替之砌ニは間茂無之候哉損失無御座候故其侭献シ置
御願茂不申上候此度之儀は年数相重り前段ニ申上候仕合ニ御座
候間何卒御修復被為仰付被下候はゝ一社一同可畏入候此段宣

御参内候間間違候而も気毒ニ被存候間御所へ持参仕御届等も申上
候様取次中被申候ニ付非蔵人口へ参上仕仮遷宮日時御奉行へ
申上候趣御届申候且御燈籠之儀ニ付書付持参仕候取次を以申上
候哉又は御対面被成下候哉相伺候処追付御達被成候故御燈籠
御修復之儀書付を以御願申上且御寄附被成下候節は御伝奏ゟ

願い奉る口上覚
院御所から寄附された御金燈籠が本宮御前に一対ございますが、この度の御造替に付き、御社付きの燈籠台とも御修復・新調等を仰せ付けられました。しかしながら、寄附された御燈籠をそのままにしておくのは恐れ入ることと存じます。享保年中のことですので、寛保御造替の折には間もなく、損失もございませんでしたので、そのまま献じ置き、願いも申し上げませんでした。この度のことは年数が重なり、前段に申し上げた状況でございますので、何とぞ御修復を仰せ付けていただければ、一社一同恐縮に存じます。この段をお願い申し上げます。以上

一、戌の刻を過ぎて出頭した総代が帰郷して説明したところによると、御奉行日野西弁殿へ参上し、貴布祢仮遷宮日時の件を書付をもって申し上げたところ、御承知の旨でした。それから御伝奏櫛笥大納言殿へ参上し、御奉行へ申し上げた趣旨をお届け申し上げ、また御寄附御金燈籠の件について書付をもって御修復の件をお願い申し上げました。ところが、御参内されるので間違いでも気の毒に思われるので、御所へ持参してお届け等も申し上げるよう取次中が申されましたので、非蔵人口へ参上し、仮遷宮日時について御奉行へ申し上げた趣旨をお届け申し上げました。また御燈籠の件について書付を持参しましたが、取次を通して申し上げるか、または御対面していただけるか伺ったところ、追って御連絡をいただけるとのことでした。そこで御燈籠御修復の件を書付をもってお願い申し上げ、また御寄附していただいた際は御伝奏から一社総代へお渡しいただいたことでございます。もっとも先達って内々に申し上げたのとは相違するので申し上げておく旨を申し上げました。そうしたところ、伝奏はどなたか、年月等を詳しく尋ねられましたので、享保元年十二月二十五日、伝奏は日野大納言殿、御奉行は烏丸殿である旨を申し上げました。

Petition Statement
The golden lanterns donated by the Imperial Palace are placed as a pair in front of the main shrine, and with this reconstruction, repairs and new construction of shrine-attached lantern stands have been ordered. However, we feel it would be presumptuous to leave the donated lanterns as they are. Since this concerns the Kyōhō era, during the Kanpō reconstruction there was little time elapsed and no damage, so we left them as献じ置き and did not submit a petition. In this case, many years have passed and the situation is as described above, so if repairs could be ordered, the entire shrine community would be most grateful. We respectfully petition for this matter. The above.

1. The representatives who appeared after the hour of the Dog returned home and explained: They visited Magistrate Hinnonishi Ben-dono and submitted in writing the matter of Kibune temporary relocation dates, which was acknowledged. Then they visited Imperial Messenger Kushige Dainagon-dono, reported what had been submitted to the magistrate, and petitioned in writing for repairs of the donated golden lanterns. However, since he was going to court and would feel bad if there were any mistakes, the intermediaries suggested bringing it to the Imperial Palace to make the report there as well. So they went to the Hi-kurōdo entrance and reported what had been submitted to the magistrate regarding the temporary relocation dates. They also brought a written petition concerning the lanterns, and when they inquired whether to submit it through intermediaries or receive a direct audience, they were told there would be a response later. They then petitioned in writing for repairs to the lanterns, and noted that when the donation was made, it was handed from the Imperial Messenger to the shrine representatives. However, since this differed from what had been privately mentioned earlier, they mentioned this point. When asked who the Imperial Messenger was and for specific dates, they replied that it was the 25th day of the 12th month of Kyōhō 1st year, with Imperial Messenger Hino Dainagon-dono and Magistrate Karasumaru-dono.
