次に東へ参り、目付方へ申し入れたところ、木村源八郎に出会ったので、去月二十九日に差し上げた遷宮に付き警固願書について、西御役所にて御好評があり、書き改めた例書を相添えて差し出したので、当御役所へも申し上げた。先日上げた願書と御取り替えくださるよう申し入れたところ、源八郎が申すには「先日の願書は同役共の心得違いで受け取り置いたが、全体今度の御掛りは西一式なので、西へお願いし、御下知があり次第早々右両通に添書でも致し、只今西にて御聞き届けと申すことを申し出すべきである。そうでなければ両願と申すもので紛らわしいので、先々今日の書付も取り帰るべき」旨を申し渡されたので、承って退いた。
六日晴れ
一、神主が申し出たのは、今日巳刻頃、陰陽師の幸徳井主計頭が私宅へ入来し、申すには「正遷宮当日、両局が神前へ参向後、祓いの儀を相勤めたい。右に付き入用の具を調え置くよう」申されたので、博久が答えに「当社中より相設ける申し儀は先例が見えない。しかし今度も御頼みの儀であれば出し置くべき」旨申し入れたところ、「何分よろしく頼む」旨を申されたので、「そのような儀であれば当日弊殿の軒下に出し置くべき」旨を談じ置いたということ。
七日
一、式日寄り合い、会所森顕披露
一、去る五日、田口が申し入れたのは「片岡社御仮殿は正徳・寛保共に御料を入れ置かれたので拝領仕った。この度も先格の通り拝領仕りたい」旨申し入れたこと。
評：許可
一、本宮以下正遷宮日時を十手中へ相触れるべきか。遷宮の晩、門々に燈灯を出すべきか、及ばない儀かということ。
評：
遷宮日限は十手中へ触れるべき。燈灯は家並みに出すべき旨触れるべきと決定。

Next, I went to the eastern [office] and made an inquiry to the inspector's office. There I encountered Kimura Genhachirō, so regarding the security petition I had submitted on the 29th of last month concerning the shrine reconstruction, since it was well received at the Western Administrative Office and I had submitted it together with revised precedent documents, I also reported it to the current administrative office. I requested that they exchange it with the petition I had submitted previously. Genhachirō replied: "The petition from the other day was received due to a misunderstanding by my colleagues. Since this entire matter is handled exclusively by the western [office], you should petition the west, and as soon as official instructions are given, you should promptly submit both documents with a cover letter, stating that approval has now been granted by the west. Otherwise, having dual petitions would cause confusion, so you should take back today's documents as well." Having received these instructions, I acknowledged them and withdrew.
6th day: Clear weather
1. The head priest reported: Today around the hour of the snake (9-11 AM), the yin-yang master Kōtokui Shukeito came to my residence and said, "On the day of the formal shrine reconstruction, after both bureaus visit before the deity, I wish to perform purification rites. Please prepare the necessary implements for this." Hirohisa replied, "There is no precedent for our shrine providing such arrangements. However, if this is your request this time, we can provide them." When [Kōtokui] said, "Please kindly do so," [Hirohisa] arranged that "if such is the case, we will set them up under the eaves of the worship hall on the day."
7th day
1. Ceremonial day meeting, assembly hall, Mori disclosure
1. On the 5th, Taguchi made the following request: "For Kataoka Shrine's temporary hall, we received provisions during both the Shōtoku and Kanpō [reconstructions]. We would like to receive [provisions] according to previous precedent this time as well."
Decision: Approved
1. Should the date and time of the formal reconstruction of the main shrine and subordinate shrines be announced to the local security groups? Should lanterns be displayed at gates on the evening of the reconstruction, or is this unnecessary?
Decision:
The date of the shrine reconstruction should be announced to the security groups. It was decided that an announcement should be made that lanterns should be displayed at all houses.
