右之言上書酉半刻比季栄壱人持参大膳へ対シ申云大和
守儀参籠中故私一人持参之段申入候処追付被出猶御奉行へ
御掛合之上殿下様へ御窺可被成間暫可相待旨被仰渡
相扣罷在候処戌刻比大膳出逢被申候は差上候書付を以
殿下様へ御窺被成候処殿下様二も何之思召も不被有之候
ニ付則只今ゟ武辺江御掛合有之候間其趣可相心得旨仰
之段被申退去夫ゟ御奉行弁殿へ参上雑掌井上頼母出合
季栄申入候は警固之儀ニ付差掛り候事故直ニ御伝参へ持参
仕候尤御伝奏ゟ御奉行へは御掛合可被成之旨ニ候然ル処只今
御伝奏ニ而被仰渡候趣は 殿下様へ御窺被成候処思召も不被為
在候ニ付只今ゟ武辺へ御掛合可有之旨被仰渡候ニ付
御届申上候由申入置候事

一卯刻前西尾新太郎真野八郎兵衛ゟ手紙ニ而奉幣使御参
向ニ付為手番東西与力同心被差出候右ニ付早々惣代壱人
御召之旨申来同刻西御役所御用掛りゟも惣代可参旨申
来依之為惣代史顕壱人出頭午刻計帰郷演説云先西御役所へ
参処入江善兵衛出逢被申は正遷宮ニ付警固之儀所司代闕ニ付
全体関東窺中故不被差出処昨夜御伝奏ゟ大切之社ニ而若
凶事等有之候而は如何之旨被仰在候故警固与申而は不被差出

右の言上書を酉の刻半ば頃、季栄一人が持参し、大膳に対して申したことには、大和守は参籠中のため私一人が持参した段を申し入れたところ、追って出てきて、なお御奉行へ御掛合いの上、殿下様へ御伺いをなされる間、暫く待つようにと仰せ渡され、控えて罷り在ったところ、戌の刻頃大膳が出会って申されたのは、差し上げた書付をもって殿下様へ御伺いをなされたところ、殿下様にも何のお考えもお持ちでないため、則ち只今から武辺へ御掛合いがある間、その趣を心得るべき旨を仰せになった段を申して退去した。それから御奉行弁殿へ参上し、雑掌井上頼母が出会い、季栄が申し入れたのは、警固の儀につき差し掛かりの事のため直に御伝参へ持参いたしました。もっとも御伝奏から御奉行へは御掛合いをなさるべき旨でした。然るところ只今御伝奏にて仰せ渡された趣は、殿下様へ御伺いをなされたところお考えもお持ちでないため、只今から武辺へ御掛合いがあるべき旨を仰せ渡されたため、御届け申し上げました由を申し入れ置いたことです。

一、卯の刻前に西尾新太郎真野八郎兵衛から手紙にて、奉幣使御参向につき手番として東西与力同心を差し出される、右につき早々総代一人を御召しの旨申し来た。同刻西御役所御用掛りからも総代が参るべき旨申し来たため、総代として史顕一人が出頭し、午の刻計りに帰郷して演説したことには、先ず西御役所へ参ったところ入江善兵衛が出会って申されたのは、正遷宮につき警固の儀、所司代欠員のため全体関東への伺い中のため差し出されないところ、昨夜御伝奏から大切な社にて若し凶事等があってはいかがな旨を仰せになったため、警固と申しては差し出されない

The above petition was brought by Suenaga alone around half past the Hour of the Rooster. He explained to Daizen that since Yamato-no-kami was in ritual seclusion, he had come alone. He was told to wait while further consultation would be made with the magistrate and an inquiry submitted to His Lordship. While waiting in attendance, around the Hour of the Dog, Daizen appeared and said that the submitted petition had been presented to His Lordship, but since His Lordship had no particular thoughts on the matter, consultation with the military authorities would now commence, and this should be understood. After this, he went to visit Magistrate Ben-dono, where shrine administrator Inoue Tanomo appeared. Suenaga explained that since this concerned security matters requiring immediate attention, he had brought it directly to the Imperial Messenger. The Imperial Messenger was to consult with the magistrate. However, what was just conveyed by the Imperial Messenger was that when the inquiry was made to His Lordship, since he had no particular thoughts, consultation with military authorities would now take place, and this report was submitted.

Before the Hour of the Rabbit, a letter came from Nishio Shintaro and Mano Hachirobye stating that yoriki and doshin from both East and West would be dispatched for guard duty regarding the Imperial Messenger's visit, and requesting that one representative come immediately. At the same time, the West Office also sent word that a representative should come. Accordingly, Shiaki went as representative and returned around the Hour of the Horse to report: First, upon going to the West Office, Irie Zenbye appeared and said that regarding security for the formal relocation ceremony, since the Shoshidai position was vacant and the matter was entirely under inquiry with the Eastern authorities, no security would be provided. However, last night the Imperial Messenger stated that it would be problematic if any unfortunate incidents occurred at such an important shrine, so security could not be provided as such.
