風鳥《割注：フウチョウ》

『大和本草』に云う：■鸘（カサキリ）は俗に風鳥と云い、また風切とも云う。燕の類であり、アマツバメとも呼ばれ、稀にしか見られない。■鸘（カサキリ）と風鳥は別の生き物である。風鳥もまた足が短い。風切（アマツバメ）と混同して説かれている。■鸘の条に詳しく記す。

Wind Bird《Marginal note: Fūchō》

According to "Yamato Honzō": The ■鸘 (Kasakiri) is commonly called "Fūchō" (Wind Bird), and also "Kazakiri." It belongs to the swallow family and is also called "Amatsubame" (Swift); it is rarely seen. The ■鸘 (Kasakiri) and the Fūchō (Wind Bird) are separate creatures. The Fūchō also has short legs. It is often confused and discussed together with the Kazakiri (Swift). Details are given in the entry on ■鸘.
