**Thunder Bird (Ptarmigan / Rock Ptarmigan)**
Received from Kurimoto Zuiken on the 21st day of the 5th month of the 1st year of the Bunsei era (1818), Year of the Tiger.
The tip of the tail has been worn down and frayed from rubbing against the cage.
The feathers on the feet are said to be white, but they have become soiled from being kept in the cage.
